I have the shiny charm+Oval charm.
I usally make 7 boxes of eggs which is about 200 eggs but I've cut it back to three egss, because I've gotten 2 shinies in a row and had a ton of clean up to do afterwards which took the whole day.

I then proceeded to get shit on for an innocent joke, which apparently no one can take.

Before I got that one though (and this is with the original varying DV being attack), I got one with 1, and another with 13 with the other three stats being perfect 10s.
It also happened several time with Articuno before that. It breaks your heart when the three hard stats to line up do, and see the easy one be off.

What I'm saying is, SRing in gen1 is a pain in the asshole, and I can sympathize. But it's certainly very much possible.

Seriously lads I'm at my wits ends has anyone Hatched a shiny Rowlet and if so how long did it take you?

Just realized that I can't use an ability capsule to get rid of a HA, I always thought you just couldn't change to the HA with one. That makes my shiny Froslass much worse.

Anyway, still hunting Crabrawler. I don't stress myself over it, I usually hatch a couple of batches befor going to bed. Currently around 8 boxes in.

Something feels wrong. It's been over 8 boxes and I've yet to see a shiny Magikarp. The most it's ever been before this was maybe 5 or 6 boxes without one

If one of the parents holds a Destiny Knot, the offspring will inherit 5 IVs chosen at random from among both parents. So basically you just keep breeding until you get something with one more perfect IV than the parents have and swap it in, repeat until you have two perfect parents, then just keep breeding those until you get a shiny. It takes a while if you're starting from scratch, but if you start out with high-IV parents (you can guarantee 4 perfect IVs after an SOS chain of 40 I believe) you can quickly get to 5 IVs and eventually 6. If both parents are 6 IV and one holds a Destiny Knot the offspring is guaranteed at least 5 perfect IVs since all the IVs the Destiny Knot can choose from are perfect, and the sixth IV is random.
