It's my first time playing through any of these battle facilities mode, so obviously I'm going to do something useless that's probably going to waste my time

I went 20-0 on the first section without many problems. The 19th battle was a bit worrisome as Moody dropped my accuracy so I missed Spore twice in a row. Bewear saved the day with his bulk, though

On the Super Ladder, things got serious right from the start as a Leafeon outsped my Smeargle and swords danced while also waking up in a single turn twice in a row, landing a critical Leaf Blade and killing my Smeargle because I could do anything Bewear's tankiness came into play again but I almost lost as Bewear died and I had to go against Lapras as Mence, but it all worked out in the end. Going to the 6th battle right now

I think I should sub Bewear out even though he's great because Moody sometimes gives me a lot of SPATK and having someone bulky that could use SPATK and has decent coverage would be nice. Any suggestions?

moody smeargle? Relying on RNG in a RNG dominant battle facility will not end well senpai. Especially when teams start using taunt, lum berries, infiltrator, and other things I imagine.

Finally finished 50 single battles. I think switching teams every 10 battles really did help.

Still had a couple of close calls but It didn't feel like the game was actively trying to counter my team.

I played from 1-50 with a friend. It's considerably easier because the partner AI is a real jobber.

It's actually kinda funny because sometimes you see your opponents ruining each other's weather sets or not giving a fuck if they hit their partner with earthquake or surf.

I used megamence and porygon-z while my friend used megagross and life orb primarina.

I think things will start to get really hard when I don't just get free Spores on people. So far, I think I only didn't get a Spore first turn two or three times in 30 battles

RNG almost screwed me over against Wally as Moody boosted SPATK twice while lowering Accuracy and Speed, so I had to play slowly against his Altaria to Shell Smash twice to compensate for the bad RNG. I feel like this is definitely going to happen more in the next 40 fights and I'm probably not going to make it that far. Still, it's pretty fun

It's only the 14th and Moody seems to be trying to tell me to stop toying with the RNG

Their lead was an Unfezant that outsped my Smeargle and set up Tailwind, but I put it to sleep right after. Substitute and Shell Smash. There was only one issue with the plan: the first two Moody activations lowered my accuracy and the third, my speed, so I got outsped, lost my Sub and to top it off, missed my Spore

Decided to do a risky Baton Pass to Bewear as even with the lowered defenses, he could probably tank a bit. And so he did, he was 3HKO'd by Aerial Ace after missing two Ice Punches in a row

He was KO'd, time to switch back to Smeargle. Since his Tailwind was down, I would be able to put him to sleep, but he U-turned and sent out Lurantis, who eat my Spores without complain. I decided to baton pass to Salamence right away, as I didn't have the HP to setup a last sub and would die if I tried to Shell Smash

Then I realized Lurantis had absolutely nothing to deal with Salamence. So I dragon danced 6 times in a row, roosted his pitiful Giga Drains and ran a train on their team

Let's see how far can I get with this

Has anyone done any data mining for the I.V's of trainers? I know they usually go up as you go on in facilities but I'm curious if special trainers always have 31 I.V's or if scouted trainers get their I.V's boosted to 31. If they don't, then I'd like to know how long I have to hold off on scouting to max out partners.

I ran out of battery while the animation of a megaevolution was playing and when I turned the console on again it count the battle as a win and my streak was +1.

So I tested on the next chance I had against a mega (clicked home during the megaevolution animation and closed the game pressing X) and the same happened, I got the battle as a win And my streak got the +1.

Old 3DS running 10.x.x worked. I won't recommend you to abuse it since we don't know if it can break your game, when you load the game the screen stays in black for some seconds after the music starts playing and you get the BP and the win as anon said.

They are the same currency. Tree is faster, but if you don't have a good team yet you'll have to grind it out at the Royale, but it's not much easier.

The AI tends to do better with straightforward choice sets that have four attacks, but you can still count on them locking into the wrong move and attacking the wrong opponent.

I tried this, traded for an Oranguru, bred him up. Telepathy, everything. It's just not very bloody good, the first battle in singles I got resists (on fairy and electric). The double chance to paralyze is pretty neat, but if you don't kill it outright it's going to hurt Tapu Koko hard and Oranguru can't do anything else. What am I missing?

For reference, my set was Oranguru with a Mental Herb and Tapu Koko with Choice specs, Discharge/Volt Switch/Dazzling Gleam/U-turn.

I need an idea for a third for my battle tree team. I'm going to run Silvally in first position to scout and weaken stuff with parting shot (though I'm not sure if explosion is worth it in battle tree), Mimikyu because it has a free setup turn and basically unresisted stab combo. the only "weakness" the team has so far is steel and possibly fissures or sheer cold (since mimikyu can eat gullotines or horn drills)

My Moody Smeargly run continues victorious, but 20th floor Dexio gave me a lot of trouble

The RNG is finally catching up to me, as the first three Moody turns gave me less accuracy, so my first baton pass was a complete clownfiesta and it all came down to Mence tanking a Moonblast from a Whimsicott and surviving. Probably the hardest battle I've faced so far

I think you should go Assault Vest. Band locks you into one move so if the enemy throws out something that counters you you're going to have to switch into something that can take a hit but the problem here is your team is pretty frail. AV also helps mitigate Buzzwole's awful Special Defense.

Yeah, that's a good point, choice band seems like it's better for full 6 on 6 battles anyways, where you can afford to switch out if need be, simply because you have enough pokemon variety to deal with it.

I also by complete accident ended up with a tapu bulu with an adamant nature, so that's going to be a great choice for doubles once I make it there. I know, one step at a time and stuff, yeah but EV spread on him is kind of hard to decide and I'd rather not start level grinding on him until I've figured out his EVs.

Got to 49 in Super Singles with a Aurora Veil Ninetales/Steel Silvally/Megamence team, lost because a -6 Rotom-H OHKO'd Mence with a crit Thunderbolt after using Thunder Wave.

The game isn't rigged it just so happens that his stallmon is designed to wall my entire team and his Oranguru has an electric Z-move.

That being said it's amazing that I even got to 39 when Pelipper was an almost permanent fixture as a lead on the enemy team. Facing the same pokemon over and over and over and over again which then vanishes the moment you run coverage for it is challenging, this is considered challenge - it's a "challenge" to be countered nonstop, and then have any attempts to deal with the counter completely ignored.

The only solution then is to just run overpowered pokemon that can't be beaten no matter what, thus invalidation 99% of the pokedex and forcing the game to rely on Quick Claw Sheer Cold.

Holy shit I finally beat the Super Multis mode with the AI and got the last stamp for my passport. I honestly didn't even think getting past 50 was possible with the AI.

Can be 18 PP for 18 turns of smogon stallfaggotry and more importantly, ABSOLUTE BOREDOM.
