i banked 10 gyms today for the first time, previous record was 6. i was able to hit every single one on my route in less than an hour in the morning. none were (enemy or ally) above level 4, and the only one that caused an extra few minutes + potions was a tripple stacked relaxobro level 4 gym.

Anyone here tried attacking a level 10 gym alone?
According to leddit it's a 35% faster but that's it.
So it will still take time from people to take one down so the average guy will just chip a bit more damage out of your gyms.
So yeah "stable" gyms might not be kill but they are not super safe either.

The real problem is that low level gyms become absurdly easy to trash, and that prestige training has been outright crippled as a result.
If you want to get a strong gym going you're going to be dependant on joint efforts now.

This is all largely because of the prestige curve, where it takes less prestige to get the first few Pokémon in and more for the last few Pokémon, this needs to be corrected to fit the changes in prestige mechanics.

This, they should've left the prestiging alone and buffed attacking and the rewards for attacking gyms to get people involved in chipping down their local level 10 monoliths.

My friend said he didn't really want to take a level 8 gym because it was filled with good stuff, but I told him we'd both just do what we can and it will eventually fall and sure enough we got through it pretty fast and he was shocked to see how easy it is to take down a big gym.

Some big stardust or even +1 candy for each of the 6 pokemon you used to lower the prestige would increase gym turnover while still letting people get them to level 10 with a little time sink.

Now it's back to the old way of attackers being hugely favoured but with very little reward for the task aside from draining revives.

Pretty much, I plan to attack every single enemy gym I find in the hopes that they will waste their resources training it up again and leave my gyms alone. Come on! There is only one gym visible from my home and two more if I walk, I wanted to take them all but Instinct got the other two and I got the one visible from my home and things was at peace but now they take down the gym every time doesn't even let it stay a day so I think they have way too much resources to spend and need to be reduced down.
