You're doing fine. I didn't even have 2000s at that level. Just don't spend any stardust until you're 30 and keep raw evolving shit. It will get to the point you can evolve 2000 stuff with no stardust investment.

Why is Vaporeon so ridiculously overpowered compared to it's siblings?
Flareon is an okay glass cannon if you don't have an Arcanine, but Jolteon is just pure shit. In fact Electrics as a whole are shit, as with a lot of other types.

Jolteons are still good at taking down Vapes and Laprases. I'm powering up a Jolteon to cap every time I level up, and it's 1719 CP now and still good against 2.2k CP Vapes.

Niantic shat all over the SPD stat and fucked over specialized attackers who focused on just one offensive stat and also high HP stuff. Basically, the reason some Pokemon suck and others are ridiculous is because of these decisions:

Yeah but they didn't know enough about Pokemon or didn't have enough time since they rushed the game so much. What they could have done to fix the CP formula would be to have sub formulas to account for specialized Pokemon. Like if a Pokemon was specialized on a single offensive stat by a large margin or had SPD as its highest selling point, there would be a separate formula to account for it and give them a higher % CP gain from that stat.

Any idiot can make a private server but they can't replicate PoGo.

Most of the value of PoGo comes from
(a) the cell activity data from 2012 or whatever that Niantic uses to generate spawn points
(b) Pokestop and Gym location data

You are going to have to run a scanner bot (or bots) to cover the ENTIRE planet. And that's just the first pass for Pokestops and gyms. How are you going to cover Pokemon spawns and/or cell activity data? You can't just fire up Ingress either because one person collecting the XM particles in-game deprives every other player of said particles until they regenerate so that's not going to work.

That or you have to start making up your own spawn points and shit, and we know how that's going to turn out: Badly.

My 2600 Zen/Hyper Snorlax is maxed out and I'm using the decreased buddy system mileage to farm candies for my hatched level 20 Lick/Body Slam Lax with a 13/15/15 IV spread.

That way when I drop my Snorlax in a gym I'll have another great, 2000+ CP Snorlax to deposit in a gym or use as an attacker. The logic is pretty simple.

After getting Vileplume, Weezing, and Gyarados tonight, I'm up to 136 in my dex. Definitely gonna finish it before this event is over.
My Gyarados got bite/dragon pulse. Is that useful? I know it's not hydro pump.

Yeah but all 3 kinda suck for training due to having high CP (specially arcanine which is a good CP sponge you want to have on gyms).
Magmar has a surprisingly high attack but like flareon he has shit HP too.

So, is there a way to serialize all the data about all your pokemon to JSON or something?

I'm starting up pogo-cruncher and it doesn't seem to really show everything, if I want to compare location data and capture time and junk for shits and giggles.

I'm also not sure what moves are worse than others and worth sending them into the grinder for.
