Honestly it's surprising there's still demand for the Go+ with how slow it responds, only using pokeballs, and numerous steps backwards Niantic has taken on the core game.

Water Gun / Hydro Pump is a good moveset on any water Pokemon.

Most of the non-Vapes have no HP so it just means you have to lrn2dodge but using them as attackers is great. I personally have a 1213 CP Starmie that I haven't gotten around to pumping up yet but it's still good for taking down 2k+ CP fire Pokemon.

A few days ago I found two snorlax's in central park.

To be honest, a move tutor just means that it automatically turns into p2w and kills all motivation to go out and farm Pokemon because you're just going to spend coins on that shit immediately. Get one Gyarados, use move tutor. Get one Arcanine, use move tutor. Get one Dragonite, use move tutor. etc. etc. Stale meta becomes more stale, and every time Niantic does a rare balance patch and changes the move powers, everybody goes into an uproar and starts demanding refunds again.

I'd settle for getting better chances at a particular move when evolving.

It doesn't matter because it's easy as fuck to mow down 3 Exeggutor 2 Vaporeon 2 Lapras a Snorlax and 2 Dragonite. Placing a Fire type in the gym's middle position forces opponents to use something they wouldn't or weaken their offensive Vaporeon which might cost them when they go up against the Snorlax later. You have to strategize.

What you're advocating is placing literally only 5 pokemon as gym defenders: Vaporeon, Exeggutor, Lapras, Snorlax, and Dragonite.

The more variety the harder it is for 6 pokemon to take out a level 10 gym and it also results in some nifty chip damage as you switch to appropriate pokemon.

I have no idea, because if I came upon a gym with 10 Dragonite ranging from 2200-3000 CP each, I could take them out with 4 Pokemon instead of 6: 2 Wigglytuff and 2 Lapras.

To answer your question though, Dragonite are in a lot of level 10 gyms because the best gym defenders have high CP caps. It's only natural that Dragonite would be the most common pokemon to see at the top of a gym.

Even just by virtue of the fact that high CP cap = good gym defender, Arcanine at least is an objectively good gym defender, even while ignoring everything else about the perks of Fire type defenders.

Additionally, this piece of shit doesn't allow anyone to do anything like you would in the previous games; namely, building a team, trading, training against other wild Mon or trainers, leveling up and changing movesets, and "beating" gyms for badges.

Sure, you can beat a gym here, but ultimately it doesn't do shit. You can't trade, PvP battle, battle wild Mon, or anything else that would be of merit.

Dratini's and sometimes Dragonair's spawn down the street where I live. However I don't just find them there, as well at some other locations in my hometown and honestly spread around the whole country too. I live in The Netherlands which is obviously known for a country surrounded by water so maybe it has something to do with that? Clearly they do spawn next to creeks, rivers etc. in towns and cities.

Why I can't get one of the top mons? I get every ultra rare pokemon except the top ones in the meta. Porygon? I got two! Chansey? I have almost every pokemon I can get without having to take an international flight and the ones I don't I can get easily by evolving some other mon I already have. Now when it comes to Lapras, Snorlax, and Dragonites that infest every gym I only get joke CP ones or don't get at all like Lapras that never even showed as a shadow in the nearby!

I'm lvl 27, yesterday I put the highest CP pokemon I have on a lvl 10 gym, an 2355 CP Exeggutor, and it still had only 3 defenders in front of it. Today in the morning it already was out, and I'm pretty sure that the gym didn't fall since it have been in the same team for weeks. If I want to be able to hold multiple gyms I need a freaking high CP pokemon, everything else will be taken out and replaced by higher CP mons by people using multiple accounts/friends in rival team.

So I finally figured out how to see what's happening in every gym in my town, I just got a gps spoofing app and a throwaway account, selected all the locations and set it to teleport from place to place every 30 seconds.

No more wasting my time going from place to place just to waste my time.

Well, you know where YOU are, and you know that nearby major street at right angles to the street you're currently on is probably where all those Gastlies are, and you (should) know that water biomes were relatively unaffected by the replacement of rats/pidgeys/weedles/caterpies with spookymons, so walk towards the water. When you see a Zubat, keep walking, when you see a Slowbro, hang a right. Then go back and get that Shellder and Omanyte.

Seriously, the ingame tracker would be a lot more useful if there was tall grass visible out to the edge of the screen, and/or if there were n/s/e/w arrows on the sighting list.

If there was actual range beyond 200m to it like there is in FPM, people might want to walk more than 200m outside their homes. They might actually get out and explore.

I've done more exploring of weird neighborhoods thanks to being able to look far away in FPM and see something interesting or a possible nest than I ever did with the ingame system.
