This sounds like one of the two things: the bot reached a daily pokestop spin limit (I believe it's 1000 spins per 21 hours) and stopped spinning to avoid a ban, alternatively it fucked up something with pathing and can't find a way to a blue pokestop, but that should be solved by restarting it.

As you tapped the mon to enter the capture mode, the game stopped registering your GPS position, as far as the game cared, you were standing in place from that point onwards.

So you capture the Pokemon/run/it flees and the encounter is over. It is only at this point that the game updates your position, but since you moved so far away during that time, the game detects it as a teleport across a great distance, which should not be humanly possible and therefore looks like spoofing. It is pretty lenient about this, so that's why you've only encountered it while on a highway, in regular traffic you travel far too slow for it to register as a teleport.

Now, depending on the distance teleported, the game decides on the length of the softban. In your case, it was certainly the shortest one, that lasts around 15 minutes. During that time it manifest in the following way: You can't spin Pokestops, you can't challenge any gyms and every single Pokemon you encounter will break out of the first ball that lands of it (after a random number of shakes) and flee immediately afterwards.

To all of you who are rooted and having trouble after the 0.37 update:

0. Back up all of your shit.
1. Factory reset your phone, or switch to a ROM that does not come with root by default. If you are used to Cyanogenmod, use CyanogenOS instead. It's the non-rooted version.
2. Re-flash TWRP through fastboot (unless you flashed your new ROM via TWRP)
3. Without wiping any cache, dalvik cache, or the system partition, flash the following .zips in order:

Magisk-v6.zip
phh-superuser-17-magisk.zip

These can be found here:

4. Install the PHH Superuser application from the Play Store
5. Install the Magisk Manager application from the .apk in the above XDA Developers link
6. Open Magisk manager and tell it to temporarily disable root whenever you want to play Pokemon Go.

I usually take over gyms from 6 to 7 when I'm on my morning jog (only have 4 in close proximity though)
I've also noticed the spawns get better the later it is, I seem to get the rarest spawns at 1-3am and 3-5pm
I guess you can balance both by going out while everyone's asleep and take over gyms/get rare mons

Ways to farm kms in the game?
There's no GPS signal in my office building and every time the game looses gps signal it puts my avatar out to the parking lot about 400 m away from the building I'm in. If I open a window and put my phone next to it, I'm in the building again. 400 m gained. Rinse and repeat in about every 5 minutes.

I just got my Pokemon Go Plus, is there anywhere that tells you what the different coloured lights mean because the instructions don't.
I guess green flash means I found a Pokemon, the white flash is Pokeball wobbles and red flash means I failed?
You only seem to get 1 chance to catch a Pokemon by the looks of it and I've failed every time so far. With the latest update, I am noticing I get the bug where my GPS gets stuck and my character no longer moves with me until I reload the game much more than before. Also, the time to login has increased massively, which makes playing the game much more painful when combined with the above issue.

The game is completely unplayable now.

It lags horribly, my character gets stuck even when I'm walking, I don't know what changed in the update but it has got NOTICEABLY worse.
