You know what? Theres another reason that makes Serena leaving even more obvious than it already is. Serena likes Ash doesn't she? Well she still hasn't confessed to him. Ash still sees her as only a friend. The Pokemon Anime is a showed aimed at kids. Its a 20 year old commercial for a Videogame. The writting and characters are Doraemon/Chin Chan Tier. The Show has more than 500 episodes. The writers will never have Serena and Ash as a couple in the Show because it won't work. And lest not forget that Ash is as generic as a Shonen MC can get. The writers obviously won't make her go with Ash to Alola for a other 100 or more episodes of blushing and bait situations. Its as obvious as Tobi being Obito if not even more. Besides qouldn't Serena leaving make her look like a massive bitch when Kalos is in a shit state? She telling goodbye to Bonnie and Clemont while she goes to Alola would be incredible stulid. Besides we have Yashio of course. And If Alola doesn't have Gyms or a League why would there be Idol Tripaklons? I think this is the third gang in the run that is connected only through association with Ash. As in, Brock and Dawn just happened to both be friends of Ash, never interacting with each other. Dent had good chemistry with Ash, not so much with Iris. Clermont... does Serena notice him, much?
