Bonnie is complementary to Clemont and I think has been executed fairly well. Clemont is somewhat of a stereotypical nerd but he's very knowledgeable, it's true he has gotten a little stagnant as time went by but his knowledge related to Pokémon still comes handy the others, contrary to Cilan's insight which always appeared to come in when nobody asked or only to fall on deaf ears. Serena while it's true she might be shipping bait as she's unconditional to Ash and that's what pushes her forward to do things most of the time, she's the one that keeps him on track, while she isn't Ash's voice of reason or anything like that, she's always cheering for him, worries for him(at time a little too much but at times she's on the right), keeps him on track when needed and is always willing to help even when Ash himself(as seen recently) thinks he doesn't need it.

Perfect Zygarde was underwhelming but overall I'm glad they decided to make it consistent with the main anime. The group only saw him go off at 10% form and not even Jarvis was able to see where the Dragon Pulse came from, so for all they know he never went past 10% and they'll rightfully be surprised during the TF climax.

Literally the general consensus of the pokemon fandom over the last decade. When Movie 8 came out in 2005 it was considered one of the best movies, and then in the years later it remained that way because of the declining quality of the movies that came after.

Movies objectively got worse after DP.DP was the last series with actual enjoyable movies. Diancie and Keldeo want to make me kill myself. They fucked up mewtwo. Hoopa was a disappointment that its trailers had nothing to do with the movie at all. And the whole movie was just fanservice with a rushed plot and plot holes left and right. Only respectable one is BW Victini but thats not DP tier.
