In all seriousness, another 3 years series of Ash...probably being rebooted again down to BW levels or at least worse than XY, and with no Serena ship as endgame just sounds awful. Plus the next sidekicks likely won't be as entertaining as Bonnie and Clemont either.

I have a really bad feeling about the Sun/Moon anime. That's why I want Ash wrapped up when he and the show are in their prime.

Or something like that. If Ash does win the league the writers found a clever way of not spoiling it in the titles or summaries.

The Japanese version tends to just refer to all kinds of fruit with the vague "ki no mi", a term that basically refers to things that grow on trees and bushes. There's no real English equivalent, so you have to translate it as "fruit" "berries" or "nuts" depending on what this speciic instance is referring to.

This term is also used in the Pokemon games to refer to that huge selection of items used to make Pokeblocks/poffins etc, some of which are berries, some of which are fruit, etc.
Since it's a category of items, they needed one common name in the English translation, so the English games call them "berries" even though only like half of them are actually berries.

And then some jackoff working on the dub thought that whenever anything in the Pokemon anime is referred to as a "ki no mi", it must be translated as "berry" been when it's a fucking apple and has nothing to do with the items the English translation game broadly call "berries".

tldr it's the dub being stupid.

Back then the anime's world was more like ours so it was more realistic with some more realistic personalities,jokes,scenery,and locations. The interesting mix of our world and pokemon was what gave it a more unique feeling. The anime right now is still good in its own right though.
