Is it wrong to get emotionally invested in a ship when you know the show only exists to sell merchandize? If this was any other series Ash/Serena would be 100% endgame, but since this is Pokemon we know how easily it can be dropped. I wish the show wasn't a commercial for this reason.

Okay I'm sure this gets posted a lot but I haven't watched the show in forever but I've got the urge to start watching it again. Should I just jump right into the X&Y seasons on Netflix or should I start from the beginning?

I stopped watching somewhere around when they were in Hoenn. Netflix has the first two seasons of the indigo league but where can I find all the stuff in between that and now?

The reason the anime goes through fresh starts is so little kids can get into the show every few years without having to watch 800+ episodes that aired before they were born.

I watched a couple episodes of the anime but it is a bit hard for me to enjoy.

It feels so incredibly childish and at times the series takes itself too serious and this makes it cringey. The animation is low-budget. The physics presented in the anime is inconsistent and the characters interact with each other in an incredibly unrealistic way.

Wayland was the worst of the worst and Bucheister didn't know how to fix his mistakes. Basically she inherited a fire department that had spent the last 5 years slacking off eating junk food and getting too unfit to lift a hose and was expected to extinguish a forest fire from day one.
