Pokemon may indeed be limited, but time and time again, we have been shown those limitations can be undone. That evolutions or forms can be put where there were previously none, and even the explanation of why can be invalid since it was something that already existed.

Don't worry, it hasn't been leaked so far. If you've read that Ash wins, it's just speculation based on the title of episode 38. All we know about the battle is that Iwane is animating the first half (episode 37), someone else, most likely Ohashi/Nishitani, the second half, that Pikachu/Tyranitar, Hawlucha/Weavile and probably a matchup involving Metagross due to the data broadcast are happening in the first half while Ash Greninja vs Mega Charizard is in the second half and it will include the giant Water Shuriken. Everything else is currently up in the air.

The title is most likely meant to be an in-character statement from Satoshi that could also be translated as "I'm gonna win the Kalos League". We don't have too much context to go on.

Also the fact that Alan is shown to be dominating all his other battles with only Mega Charizard is another sign he should lose. He doesn't say he admires Ash for the same reasons as her. Neither go into detail as to why they admire Ash. Serena would say admire because she keeps her true feelings for Ash a secret from everyone. Her calling Ash "you who I admire" the next episode could also just be from translation because the two episodes had different translators.

Once Ash and Greninja come back, Ash apologizes to Serena and thanks her and says her words are what "woke him up". Serena says welcome back while lightly blushing.

She's very worried for him while they're looking for him throughout the episode, and she worries about him during his rematch with Wulfric the next episode.

During the first league episode, her eyes sparkle and she has a huge smile on her face when Ash shows up for his first league match.
