This motherfucker right here. I love his attack animation. He just keeps smacking his comically oversized claw down, and because he has such a fast attack, it's just the whole "DIE. DIE. DIE. DIE. DIE. DIE. DIE" thing.

Why are you powering up so much? Just wait to catch a stronger one. As you level up the max CP you see will increase. If you're powering up Pokemon that you'll easily be able to replace a few days from now, you're just wasting candy, dust, and time.

Does incense require movement?

I know it makes pokemon just kinda spawn near you, but do you have to actually walk to make them spawn?

What about for lures? Do they require any movement?
I got one of each from leveling up, and don't feel like walking around at night. Wondering if I can just get them to come to me or the pokestop right outside my house.

Okay, I need you guys to explain the cp curve thing to me. I was reading through this guide: http://imgur.com/gallery/iQNiY and it confused the hell out of me.

There's a part where it says that if you have two Pokemon and one has higher cp while being lower on the curve, you should evolve that one because it's already more powerful while still having more potential to grow, so you want the curve to be low in this case. I get that. But right in the beginning where it's comparing the Pidgey and Pidgeotto, it says that you should evolve the Pidgey because it's higher on the curve. Why? Wasn't I supposed to be looking for growth potential? Now I don't really understand if I want the cp curve to be high or low.

I had a chance to catch a 800+ Tentacruel last night and the bastard ran away.

Is there some kind of rules and calculations regarding Evolving and how it affects CP?
I caught a 141 CP Pidgeot, but I also have a 100 Pidgey. I assume evolving the Pidgey would yield more CP than my Pidgeot.

Both teams have some pretty terrible components to them.

Instinct are far and away the underdogs at my town. Two of them teamed up to knock over the gym closest to my apartment and managed to hold it for almost an hour under attack, but there's just not enough of them to get the prestige up fast enough.

Pidgeot, at every level, has a maximum CP cap. The amount of CP your Pidgeot has is more like a percentage of the maximum it can have. The pidgey would have a higher one because it already has a higher percentage of its maximum CP.

it seems like camping a quad poke-stop is the only way to get mass dust. You just gotta camp it, gets 9 eggs, drop a few bucks for incubators, and then jog.

If you wonder how people are getting so much so fast, its by opening eggs with the double exp buff and mass evolving weddles/caterpie/pidgey into their stage 2 forms for only 12 candies for exp while lucky eggs are running.
