I have a feeling the bracelet will have a lot more to do with moves and typing. There are 8 gem slots including the one on top. Maybe one could activate a hidden 5th move, or another could give each move duel types with a clear display for each. Or, and I'm just throwing this out there, one gem could activate a third type for your Pokemon. I think the moves alone will be for syncro evolutions. What we've seen so far in th anime from ash greninja is 2 things.

So what i think, is that syncro is a sort of mega evolution (raised stats) with an extremly powerfull move, but as drawback when it faints, you loose. High risk, high reward.

I think, if Ash-Greninja is like how they want this new thing to function, the best way to accomplish that, visually, is to give the Pokemon an aura: Pikachu glows and sparks with electricity; Greninja has water swirling around it; Pidgeot is surrounded by a whirlwind, etc. If it's just an aura and not a visual change, it could be combined with Megas.

It probably won't work that way. It will take into account the Pokemon's personality and characteristics, as well as their stats. For example, A powerful Water Type Super Move that is Special wouldn't do much good to Pokemon like Feraligatr. I should mention that Flygon, Milotic, and Fearow are all significant because those three are due Mega Evolutions. Milotic and Fearow because of Gyarados and Pidgeot respectively, and Flygon because Sugimori said he couldn't think of a cohesive design in time for ORAS (which was two years ago).
