this thread is for innovating, yet realistic things you'd like to see in Z, assuming it will exist. I'll start.

>custom pokeballs

XY failed to take advantage of a lot of things. The pokeball factory is one of them. Let's say, using certain items, you could create your own pokeballs in the factory. This includes regular pokeballs, great balls, net balls, and so on, but also the rarer option of custom made pokeballs. These would be restricted to your game, i.e. you could not trade these mons to other games, because other/future games would not recognize the ball designs. But it would be simple enough. Example:

>A pokeball can have two effects (one for the top half and one for the bottom half)
>Effects included range from time of day, type of pokemon, level, etc.
>Example: you can make a pokeball that makes fire pokemon easy to catch and makes them friendlier towards you
>A pokeball that makes electric and flying pokemon easier to catch
>A pokeball that is more effective if used on the first turn and gives 100 EVs towards the speed stat.

The graphics for the ball would just require a certain number of stocked colours and simple designs. Nothing crazy. Fire would give the ball a charcoaled look, a ball that raises EVs would have a star on it, or a triangle, depending on the stat, and so on. we know GF would never do this but it certainly is doable

So /vg/

I want to run a Pokemon RPG, where certain Pokemon have become intelligent and civilized, and built societies, have weapons like swords, are knights and archers, etc. Imagine a Pikachu Paladin or something along those lines.

What would be some traits that define some of the civilized Pokemon? Which Pokemon should become civilized and human-like, and which ones would remain wild and animal-like?

So I'm in a nostalgic mood and want to emulate some FireRed, but as it turns out that was kind of boring. You guys always liven things up, so anyone up for rolling a random nuzlocke?

I randomized almost everything - starters, abilities, learnsets, stats, TMs, wild pokemon, found items, trainer pokemon - but I kept the pokemon typing the same to preserve my sanity. The moves they learn will be random but it's more likely they will learn one of their same type. I threw in a couple more neat things: impossible evolutions (like trade or daytime/night) are removed and replaced with obtainable stones or just level ups. Trainers and gyms will be type themed, and all pokemon start out with 4 moves.

Standard nuzlocke rules apply, but I want to throw a twist in:
> A pokemon faints that means it's dead, deposit it forever
> Only catch one pokemon per area
> but YOU get to choose which pokemon I catch in each area. I'll scout it out and report back with which pokemon are there, and winner picks which one I attempt to catch.

I honestly want to know with this poll hijacking, what's with all of the hate for Lucario? I get it's used in everything, Smash, the Anime, the games.

And that movie made it look edgy, but other than that, why hate Lucario?

I liked the concept of them even though once season only lasted for a month.

Also, even though we have still have daylight hours, you can't really tell them apart like in Gen IV or Gen V.
