Nothing can beat BlaWhi in my opinion.

A shitty moveset that doesnt allow it to be as powerful. No moves like power up punch that increase stats and cause damage and no moves with a base damage above 100 maybe.

So we have...
Physical electric type with cruddy coverage, the coverage moves it odes get are low BP or have bad accuracy, it doesn't learn any key moves that work well with Parental Bond, some of its move like Superpower and Knock Off actually suck with Parental Bond, it's slow, and it has below-average defenses.

I think we have a loser here.

Gen VI EXP Share allows for far more playstyles than the old one did, so I hope it isn't gutted.

As long as the game is balanced around not having EXP share on. I don't like having to grind or be overleveled. Thankfully EXP scaling is back so it should help immensely with that.

Also hope they bring back the old EXP share under a different name. I liked being able to control where the EXP goes.

It works both ways, though. I've won countless battles, more than I've lost, I dare say, thanks to critical hits. Battles I really shouldn't have won, I hasten to add.

I don't remember the exact quote, but I remember someone heavily involved with pokemon made the game based on chance in order to give newer players a chance to win.
In most games, the more experienced player will always win, but if you add chance to the mix, there is a possibility that the new one might win one of those battles.
Fuck whoever did that, if you are shit at whatever game you shouldn't be able to win because of fucking luck.

I'd play XY or ORAS if I were you. Both if you can afford it. XY because it's the most recent and shows you a bit of what to expect.

ORAS uses new mechanics but is a remake and so you get some extra features you may not see in Sun/Moon. (Specifically secret bases come to mind.)

You'll need a 3DS for Sun/Moon anyway, so it's not like you'd need a new system.
