So is there a reason that they market the pokemon anime to kids? I mean, yes when it first started it was made for kids but those kids grew up still loving pokemon as adults today. So why not try to market to them more like american cartoons do?

We need a complete reworking of the move table.
A pokemon's move compatibility list should be based on their body type, their egg group, and their actual type.
For example:
>Every Fire type can learn any Fire type move.
>Any armed Pokemon can learn Punching moves.
>Every Monster can learn Scary Face.
>Everything can learn support moves.
And so on.
What the Pokemon learns through level-up doesn't necessarily have to change. But in doing this, any move can now be passed on to the child so long as its compatible. This'll give certain mons who are only shit because of their lackluster movetable a second chance at viability. By giving everything access to every support move, this could also give shitmons a niche in doubles & triples.
