There's literally no reason someone's body "wouldn't allow" faster mashing unless they were injured or disabled.

If you're making the claim that mashing is a natural talent that cannot be improved upon through practice, you're going to need some very good evidence to support it.

I was looking through some Breath of the Wild speedruns and I realized something rather unfortunate - they're dreadfully boring. It got me thinking and I noticed that a good amount of speedrunners rely on the game and the run itself to provide most of the entertainment, but many games like BOTW are not very exciting to watch.
I understand when you're trying to master a game and you play for hours at a time, focusing on technique and what not, it's hard to be entertaining for your audience on top of that. That's why marathons are so successful, in my opinion. But are there any streamers who make it really fun for the audience? Who are some of your favorites? Do you think more runners should put more focus on being entertaining? I sure do.

Focused practice is when you pay close attention to what you're doing and attempt to fine tune and correct it. "Grinding", in the monkey sense of the word, is doing the wrong things over and over and somehow expecting to miraculously get better by doing so.

Focused practice requires grinding, but grinding doesn't require focused practice.
