Yes, a fair majority of the control games don't get to fatigue before the warrior/priest is outvalued by jades. But a lot of them still go to fatigue and become close matches until one of them runs out of cards.

Without removing jades outright, the logical next step was to give other control decks engines to survive in fatigue, because right now even if you do manage to get ahead of the fat jades you still lose because you run out of cards.

Deck experimentation will never be a big part of high tier play in hearthstone because discovered good decks will be refined beyond belief by thausands of players. And hearthsone is not complicated enough that some sleeper decks will remain elusive for long.

In meme tier wild tho there are variety of decks you can come up with. This expansion adds a few cards with good potentials too. But I get you, new cards are too restrictive to be played in anything but heir "intended" archtypes.

It's pretty bad in most situations.
Either you played this on a big enemy minion and they traded that minion into your board before you got it, leaving it with 1 or 2 health if it's even still alive or you played it on a big enemy minion while you had no minions and they raped your face because they have complete control of the board so you lost before your next turn anyway.

Basically it has the same problem as Corruption does where your opponent has plenty of time to stop you from benefiting from the effect. Not to mention you're spending most of your turn on this one spell that does nothing until your next turn.

About the right power level, and thematically it's great. Maybe a little too strong, though; almost every minion is going to have at least two attack, so it's almost always better than Noble Sacrifice except that NS stops your opponent from hitting your face.

I'd also like to see it be a rare card instead. Secrets are pretty weak in Arena, but it's not something I'd want to see show up in peoples drafts that often (spell boost, expansion boost, common). That said, I actually think it's very possible this card could show up in this expansion.

First, you put a 7 mana 4/6 in your deck. That's really bad. Imagine putting Windfury Harpy in your deck. That's actually a better card.

Then, you get your opponent's deck alongside yours. Now take a look at meta decks. Control paladin has around 11 neutrals, and control priest runs basically none of the neutrals in it, except for pyromancers sometimes. Why didn't you put those cards in your deck? Hint: the answer isn't because there wasn't enough space. The answer is because the cards are worse than the worst card in your deck. So immediately, the third of the cards you get from your opponent's deck are worse than your cards.

Then there are the class cards. There are class cards that are independently good, like Tirion, but most decks play with synergies in mind. The cards may synergize with the other cards with the deck, or they may synergize with the hero power. Imagine copying a warrior's deck and getting shield slam. Congrats, you completely wasted a draw. Imagine playing against druid and getting a couple jade cards. Congrats, you're summoning 1/1 jades on turn 8.

The card is completely trash and does nothing but make your deck worse.

Also you don't have to play the card early. You play it the same way they play thoughtsteal. Near the end of the game when its like 10 cards or less. They can then afford to play more liberal and take more chances than you can forcing you to run out of options. Priest already does this. This card just lets them do it even more

Let's talk about cards. I like this one a lot because it's the start of a possible new way to play Hunter, the fabled control Hunter. It's not enough of the card draw they need, but it's a start. And they don't really need as much as they used to, since Zombeasts are an adjustment to card advantage, while having a board wipe and minor heal of top. I am feeling optimistic about Hunter's chances in the upcoming meta.

Zombeasts with the Death Knight, general attrition without. With two Trackers, you could fairly easily get a total of 4 Highmanes in a game. Even if you don't, you'll still be getting some other high value minions like Macaw which furthers your engine. Call of the Wild could also be used as a finisher, but it's possible banking on the Death Knight is just better.

The lack of board clears has always been an issue. For what it's worth, the Death Knight deals 2 to enemy minions, so it's a small step in the right direction. That's part of the reason why I like Rexxar's Death Knight so much, because it addresses all the problems with the class in one card, even if one card can't fix all of them. It provides a slight healing, something Hunters lack, a minor board wipe, and it's Hero Power helps its lack of card draw. I'm not saying it'll be tier 1 or anything, but it'll be better than it is now.

Too confusing for mobile users is the typical joke. Probably it's just because of how restricted the card pool and effect pool is that it would be too difficult to make an alt win con that isn't too easy or impossible. We have plenty of cards which basically set one up, though, but not guaranteed. OG Elise is probably the best example. She's meant to serve as a "I win" even though you could very easily lose with her. Some Quests are also examples, like the Warrior's and Mage's.

People think Bone Mare is going to be the biggest problem in Arena, but I have to believe it's going to be this guy. He's much more consistent simply because he is cheaper and has better stats. His effect obviously isn't as powerful, but it's not too far removed. His dragon tag is basically irrelevant, but it also helps. This guy is going to be insane, particularly in Pally because it can boost his little guys into easy trading capacity.

The real power of the card is the salt it produces. In most games, even games where it doesn't lead to a victory, the opponent will still be annoyed that you played it. Even if you lose on turn 9, it won't change the fact that you made someone, somewhere, angry about a destroyed Fireball on turn 2.

But then a shuffle effect does the same thing. So you might as well give it a battlecry: shuffle the enemy's deck.

Since you don't see the deck before and after the shuffle, it might as well do nothing.

Most of the time: Once its exiled, its gone for good

To some decks, going straight to the graveyard is also gone for good (To them, their opponent might wanna use it)

To others (Black decks in particular), you actually WANT you cards in the graveyard because they're easier to play from there.

And theres lots of "Split cards" in standard now which are actually 2 cards in one:

1 You play as a normal card
And 2. The aftermath half of the card, a second spell that you activate from the graveyard.
