Invoker needs a rework.

The fact he can just spec all his points into on or two elements kinda fucks the entire nature of the hero, because in theory hes supposed to be this really versatile hero that is only limited by the ability of player. However people just spam a bunch of points into Exort and Quas and can just use 3 abilities to delete anyone from the game because the associated abilities start scaling up way too quickly in contrast to everyone else.

His elements should work like Shadowraze, where leveling one levels them all equally. Of course this change alone would put Invoker deep in the gutter, so his Invoke should be buffed significantly. Probably lowering it to 2 seconds and just finding another purpose for Aghanims.

This way he can't just burst or devastate team fights with 2 or 3 abilities, but can still be incredibly useful if the player is constantly pumping out spells in a useful and intelligent manor. Invoker is now fixed, hire me icefrog.

Invoker is a hero that assumes outright that you are winning the game from minute 0, if you don't get a decent Midas and Aghanim timing your team might as well be playing 4 on 5.
This has nothing to do with the people playing the hero, this something central to the hero.

Obviously playing Invoker can be very fun and rewarding. But picking the hero is always a burden on your team.

What? Invoker can get constantly shut down in the lane and it still won't matter since he's an extremely efficient jungler and Midas is a core. Hell, if things are really in the shit he still has a bonus xp talent.
The only way an Invoker can be successfully shut down is if he's ganked literally every time he's alive, if his jungle is completely dominated and if you somehow manage to end the game before the 25ish minute mark. Otherwise any semi-competent Invoker will be impactful ever when shat on early-game.
