For the ryuunosuke and Gilles thing, ryuunosuke does not need to provide mana to gilles to use spells and his np because it is all done by the book. The book (Prelati's Spellbook) gathers it's own energy and casts all the spells. Gilles himself cant actually use magic and is not a magus. Ryuunosuke just needs to provide the mana to keep Gilles around which shouldn't be much. If it was any other caster or servant it is likely that ryuunosuke would not be able to power them and their NP.

Basically, from best to worst to use your Fous on given their class modifiers:

I was trying the same.

To make her remotely useful you need to feed her ass off with ATK and HP Fous.
Also pretty much invest the time in ascending her till her last ascension because her stats don't really grown until the last levels.

THEN, she basically is at the same level as a decent 4 stars, but still since we can level up her NP and since her skills sucks, she is worse than most 3 or 2 stars.

This. The entire localization team has literally 3 people and the game is earning more than $50k per day. And the number will only go up from here , with all those Fate anime coming back-to-back (Apocrypha / Extra / HF movies / Prisma movie) it's perfect promotion. I cannot see FGO fail at all.

Arturia's damage output is high all things considered (aoe attack-buster-stars) but the other servants have even higher attack/defensive skills/support bonuses/etc.

For example gilgamesh at full power has literally everything arturia has, except better.

+100 attack on Jeanne is more damage added than the same amount on Gilgamesh. Rulers scale extremely harder than any other class thanks to fous.
On the japanese version a full fou'ed lv100 Gilga only have 918 more ATK than a full fou'ed lv100 Jeanne because of the multipliers while on our version, since the fous are capped at 990, the gap between the two is 1070 but we're not even taking the bonus ATK from CEs into account so the gap would be smaller in both cases.

On the jp version Jeanne is the only Ruler who have less ATK than Gilgamesh when fully maxed, even the 4* Ruler Martha has more ATK than Gilgamesh because of modifiers.

EXP cards are easy to get now.
Just take a +LV 70 Jeanne and maybe use your command seals to survive the 20AP battle for EXP cards.
After that you have enough cards to level a single servant to LVL 30 alone.
Combine that with the cards you might have gotten earlier from the events and you already got yourself your 40-50LVL servant who can easily clear the 20 AP exp card quest with a good support.

From there on you get a shitload of player level ups resulting into neverending AP and more EXP cards.

The release of Tamamo during halloween was the first burst of FGO in the top grossing, which is why you could find a lot of fanarts with Tamamo using google play cards at the time. Then the second big burst was Scat, from what I remember, Mordred and Tesla gatcha didn't bring in much money compared to Tamamo/Scat, I know there's a picture with all the rankings for each gatcha around, perhaps someone here will be kind enough to post if if he have it.
