It seems kinda OP that whenever someone declares war on me I can just walk over to my spouse and instantly secure peace. Makes being expansionist easy as hell since you only ever have to fight on one front at a time and can call a truce after taking losses or to buy time after a successful siege.

Between total control over who you fight and the totally free 500 person army you can order to follow you around and initiate sieges, the game becomes kind of a joke. You don't even need their men to ever take to the field, just the battle advantage from having so many goddamn troops is enough to win.

I'm supporting Lethwin so am already warring with Nord. It's very early in the campaign and I'm worried that I dun goofed and haven't farmed enough relation with the Nord lords and no one will join us.

If I can only ask them once, then I'll load up my save pre-campaign and farm relations before starting the war again.

If I can ask lords multiple times to defect, I'm thinking I'll play on and farm relation with them by defeating them in battle then setting them free. But can I actually do this? was my question please.

So I checked out the mod link in OP, and I couldn't find what I was looking for.

I've only played vanilla Native MnB Warband, and i'm pretty happy with it. I'm sure there are a lot of interesting mods that add a lot great aspects, but i'm only looking for a few tweaks, no overhauls or anything. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction since I haven't found anything.

You don't actually NEED high relationships with the lords for them to join your side, it just makes it a lot easier to persuade them that the Claimant is the legitimate heir.

If you aren't 100% sure you can swing someone to your side don't even bother doing it, because nobles can't die you'll just end up fighting the same person ten times which gets old super fucking quick.

If you trounce their armies often enough and take as many towns and castles as you can, eventually they'll start defecting to your side no matter how much they hate you, since they're swearing vassalage to the claimant and not to you.

Whenever you take a territory tell the claimant that it should be awarded to you, you get +50 relation just for starting the quest so they will obey your every command. Build a prison tower and throw every Lord you get your hands on in there, refuse every ransom request you receive. You basically want to play good cop/bad cop where you're the bad cop and your claimant is good cop, if you go full General Sherman on their asses they will see defection as a preferable alternative to extinction.

I ended my rebellion with the last four lords in prison with their kingdom holding no territory at all, I released them and they had no choice but to defect almost immediately.

This way has the advantage of not having to rely on fucking braindead vassals to defend your kingdom since you just award every fief to yourself and manage it all as an autocrat.
