Eh, Point 1 is somewhat valid, considering the last thread that was actually completed died because it hit image limit and everyone migrated to a new thread before bump limit. That said, we also made sure to inform the guy who made a new thread that we don't do that until Bump Limit, so provided Anon keeps his head in the game, that problem is solved. It only happened one time anyway.

Point 2 sounds reasonable, but I have never seen that be an issue for /2hug/, or any general really. And since I only post Dai when it's asked for or when we're past page 8, I think it's fair to say it's not waifuposting for waifuposting's sake.

Speculation. Yuuka is one of the most famous touhous in the franchise yet hasn't made her Windows-era mainline debut. Fucking with seasons and growing plants all over fairies is also way up her alley. Out of existing touhous, she's the most likely incident cause by a wide margin and she's an important enough figure that her getting her own mainline incident is expected sooner or later. This is an Anniversary game, so someone like Yuuka is that much more appropriate for that reason as well.

Clownpiece is de-facto comrades with the fairies of light now if you follow Hirasaka's manga and it would be very unusual for them not to show up as a in an incident that revolves around supercharged fairies, especially since they haven't been in a mainline game yet either. Considering the plot of Great Fairy Wars and Sunny's ambition, it would be unusual for them not to be causing havoc in this scenario (not to mention it would mean playable Cirno beating them again).

Right, so I was going to talk about this some more, as I promised earlier.

I'm not entirely opposed to your theory (though, if I were to be frank, I do believe it would be predictable to the point of being kind of boring.), something else that's interesting to note are some of the parallels between this game and MS, another game that Yuuka played a large role in. Both games featured 4 protags, 2 of which defy the conventions that we associate with most protags in the Touhou games. One of these protags is a slow moving character with a wide reaching shot, and the other is the fastest character in the game, with a narrow and linear shot. As well, the character with the wide shot has a sun flower motif going on. This isn't proof, of course, but it is something interesting to consider.

The only thing that I really do expect, though, is for stage 4 to relate to winter in some way (if only to complete the seasonal themes of the other stages.) Whether winter ends up being the key to the entire incident (as stage 4's are usually the stages that start to lead into the real plot) or if it ends up being something else entirely, we'll have to wait and see.
