Volume 4, pretty much every Servant gets a scene to themselves while they prepare for the final battle. Karna's is him bathing while thinking about how much he misses Siegfried and deciding that the only way he can fulfill his vow to him is to fight Sieg. There was an element of wanting to understand Arjuna in it, but the text in that scene does make it very clear that it's mostly to fulfill the vow that the two made that they'd fight again.
