I've only heard people complain about it to be honest. It does what it says it does and adds what it says it adds but because it's an open City it hits performance extremely hard and causes a lot of crashes. I've also heard people complain about the fact that it makes the Oblivion hero canonically a human male.

General question though unrelated to bruma, does anybody know if there are mods that improve the look of closed Helms such as the Dawnguard helm? I mean it's great that they look like they provide a lot more protection than open-faced home but at the same time it really sucks that I have to give up seeing all of my character customization when wearing it.

Other than that, I really wish the Beyond Skyrim team wasn't so hellbent on open cities, that's 99.9% of their CTD right there.

So I generally disapprove of slutwear in all instances, but I have to admit it is pretty appropriate for Serana. I'm thinking of giving her some new armor but I'm just not sure what really fits her character. Any suggestions?

What I got is better than vanilla, but that's not exactly saying much. The sad fact of the matter is that for Khajiit and argonians there isn't a huge amount of variance to be found. You can do new textures but most facial configurations are going to be subtle enough people won't notice a huge difference. That and the selection for hairstyles that are compatible and actually look good on the Beast races really cuts down on my options

So what I'm saying is my character feels like she's not unique and interesting enough yet to show her off. Just another generic Khajiit.

nah mate, sculpting and textures alone is enough to make a khajiit look unique. I've seen some pretty interesting characters out there and so far the only generic ones I've seen were mostly on the nexus.

if you want different looking khajiit faces, I recommend using Catlike Khajiit. It's in that pastebin that I linked you.

Ordinator goes a long way towards better supporting hybrid playstyles and adding much more to the umbrellas of each skill. However the potency and arguably the eccentricness of some of the added perks leaves some to dislike the overhaul.

That said it is one of the recommended perk mods for a reason. Usually it would be suggested to get the patch that merges the two, but that is woefully out of date.

I gotta say, they REALLY felt the need to depart from the ancient and esoteric thematics in Skyrim. I dont know why, I feel like it really fit Cyrodiil. And I think it could've fit certain areas of Skyrim well too.

CHIM is how Michael kirkbride decided to give his shitty OC Vivec super powers. It's somewhere between a lucid dream and realizing that you're in a video game with saves and loads and the rest.

How else were they supposed to do it? If it had a been a statue of a woman, you'd have people complaining about it being a male statue. They went with the best option and made it a fully armour clad warrior that you could pretend is a woman under there if you have to.

I must be retarded. I tried installing an Clarity ENB and now whenever I load a save, there's white streaks going towards the middle of the screen and it crashes almost as soon as I load in to the save.

How I messed this up after following the instructions carefully as fuck is beyond me.

Is there a mod that balances wild animals? they seem super fucking overpowered compared to everything else, I need Legendary dificulty in dungeons or for dragons, but if I get ambushed by a bear, I die in basically 2 hits with no real counterplay. Timed blocking doesn't stagger them, and I can't out lifesteal them with any combination of spells/enchantments.

Most honest answer. I can't understand what the 3-5 years went into. I'm not trying to be mean, but there are modders that make shit like that on their own, not with a team of 50 people. They also boast about it which is a piss off. Imagine how bad Falskaar is. Remove everything except the "City" Amber creek. And have it done by 50 modders over 5 effin years. If it was one dude, I wouldn't bitch. 50 people and that amount of time makes no sense. If you go in the water you companions don't follow. If you're in a cave they will port into the walls. River Trolls will have staring contests.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't he a human male before the champion replaced him in Shivering Isles? And as a Daedric prince he could potentially pick any other form he wants I would imagine. In that case, it's possible that the champion might have taken form similar to the one sheogorath had used in the past. Play for about 10-15 minutes and CTD. FPS drops to 10 a lot. I know I have a toaster, but this is crap and my toaster isn't even the toastiest. How to reduce fps drop while in dungeons in skyrim? Its fine everywhere else and it doesn't necessarily happen when i'm in combat or when there's alot going on, i'll just be walking around and my shit just starts stuttering like mad.

She looks worried with those eye brows. Play around with the arches and what not till they look more neutral. Nose bridge has a strange bump that could be smoothed out with sculpt. Lip textures are crap. You could try Better Makeup for SKSE (but make sure you have the SKSE.ini file set up for higher facetints). There's also Kai's Makeup, which is a Racemenu overlay plugin.

I'm not a fan of the lip shape, either. It's super flat and has that old lady flattened look to it. The upper lip is also heug compared to the bottom lip. If you make the lips bigger, though, watch out for how wide they get.

Also, like the other anon said (and showed), she has no chin. Side profile looks decent for starting out (usually the side profile is all kinds of fucked).

Before they just kind of existed where ever you needed lower level daedra but scamps were too easy. And since many daedric realms of oblivion had fire/lava locations, they were "under" whatever prince the game was currently focused on.
Having their own dedicated realm helps with things like conjuration.

It used to be that before the SKSE memory patch that installing landmass mods were a bad idea because they'd eat up already precious memory. This shouldn't be a problem any longer, but I doubt I've played any landmass mod with an open "city" (Beyond Reach, Vigilant and Darkend all use interior/exterior cells when it comes to their worldspaces and cities, although you could argue the toss between a city and a town). I am assuming that Bruma is pretty big, with more than a handful of NPCs in it.

Of course, there could be some corrupted mesh in the landscape that's leading to crashes too (some people have piped up with nif problems on the Nexus bug report page) so who knows, but Crash Fixes will usually tell you if a mesh is corrupted.

Keep in mind that the Dawnguard is meant to me much broader than the vigilance in terms of membership but also more focused in terms of goals. The vigilance are meant to be the anti Daedra for all Daedra, so they actively oppose any of the Daedric princes, all of the Daedric artifacts, Etc.

That's extremely unlikely. Malacath is a Daedric prince after all and as such any orcish Vigilant would Bound by oath to oppose him. Honestly the entire idea of an orcish vigil into somewhat akin to somebody growing up in a strict Christian household and becoming a Satanist. Anon from earlier that keeps crashing even with Crash Fixes and Continue Game No Crash.

It's that fucking mountain. I crash repeatedly in the same exact spots. Like, one is right next to a mine full of bandits. If I walk to the side with the barrels and clutter, I crash every time and I get no message from Crash Fixes.

Since I've gotten off of the mountain I haven't had crashes, but after leaving Toadstool Hollow (which is an awful cave, btw), my character is having a strange animation glitch if I switch from 1st person to 3rd person, she glides along for a while. HDT is also fucked up and the physics on her body keep acting strange and there's thudding noises.

I think I'm about to give up on this mod, at least until some patches are made.

I've searched high, and low for a specific mod, and I haven't had any luck. I'm looking for a mod that bypasses the level requirement to buy advanced level spells. Such as buying expert level spells at level 30 of that specific school of magic.

Basically I want merchants of skyrim to be able to sell all varieties of level of spell tomes. No matter my character's respected school of magic level. Does anyone know of a mod that does this at all?

I was doing pretty well, on a laptop if you can believe it, until I tried heading south to see where the development had ended. With Crash fixes and the like, the only one weird thing to that point was a person on horse flying, but i'm pretty sure that's possible with the vanilla game too? I'm not sure.

Anyway I'm hoping they'll just cave in and release a closed cities version. And that they change their mind on going SSE exclusive from here on out.

I don't understand how they can do so well at most of it and then just trip at the finish line.

I'm pretty sure sperg doesn't actually change any of those things. I know for a fact you cast whatever you want while wearing heavy armor. And I'm almost positive that the speed and stamina drain are identical to vanilla. If you're used to playing a high-level character and you're switching over to a low level one that's probably why it feels so drastically different

This is probably a retarded question, but I may as well ask it anyway. What is the general experience with mod organizer on Oblivion? It's been a few years since I've modded Oblivion, but I'm rather familiar with it for Skyrim. I've googled the question and the answers are more about getting it to work, but I care more about how well it functions and works since I'm autistic about trying to get every overhaul mod I like to function together with minimal issues.

I know that, I'm curious if MO works since it makes the process for installing big overhauls and 100+ mods incredibly simple. I don't want to have to put in the good old effort into modding oblivion of having to backtrack multiple times because something broke something and having to individually find which thing caused it. Likewise, I don't want to try using MO only to find out it has some really dumb problem with Oblivion.
