Console OW needs to be renamed "Helden Sterben Nie." Because comp is nothing but a contest of who gets bigger Mercy ults. It's the most broken fucking thing in the game. Before you say "JUST KILL THE MERCY." No. That won't work. Not when she's being guarded by her entire team more heavily than the Queen's crown jewels. It's also basically impossible now to stop her since the recent buff that gives her invincibilty frames during a rez. If you get her down extremely low, she'll just ult defensively even if she doesn't need to so she can stay alive and her regen can start again. There's almost zero counterplay. The only thing you miiiight be able to do is stun or hack her to keep her from doing it, but again, you have to get through her team. And it's really goddamn easy for her to Guardian Angel away and start regenerating her health behind her tanks. If it's attack, Mercy doesn't even need to be on the fucking point. She can just hide behind a corner with her beam still on a teammate, then comfortably fly in when she sees skulls to secure POTG and a win for her team. It's fucking bullshit and her invincibility was completely unneeded on console because Ana didn't dominate as top healer here like she did on PC.

My short experience kind of showed that it was a bit random, allies behind walls being available and nearby ones not being counted. Not sure though about that obviously.

Pharah literally should not be successfully 2 shotting people at 30m. Her rockets are slow as shit, it's literally more than 1 second of time from the time the rocket fires to the time the rocket reaches a destination, and since she has no guarantee that her first rocket hits on anything but an AFK (or some bronzy who has to stop moving to shoot), she can't lead a second rocket reliably and is just kinda spamming that one too.

If you have >1 second reaction time, or are too mentally challenged to walk around her pitiful rocket knockback/splash, you don't deserve to win against Pharah.

Console release was extra money and that was it for them. They don't give a fuck. Especially since PC is where the esports scene is.
Mercy was already the best support on console before the rez invcinibility. The 1 second regen buff was enough. Now picking Lucio or Ana or Zen over her is actively handicapping your team. Add a Symmetra on defense with teleporter? You're never going to take first. Period.

The worst part is this is probably never going to be changed because both the devs and community don't fucking care about console support.

I honestly hated her personality when the game first released but it grew on me immensely. some are still very safe picks while others are highly situational in competitive, but this is alright I guess, you can't have the same picrates for all heroes

Console is more effected by input delay than the control method, but the effects are drastic.

Movement on console is much more linear and predictable, which makes projectile characters like Pharah or Hanzo much more effective.

That said, the input delay also makes snap aiming and tracking more difficult. This is normally aided by the auto-aim, but auto-aim doesn't pull your crosshair to teammates.

That's why Ana is less useful on console: it simply takes longer to line up your shot and get those heals in.

The maximum turn speed is also absurdly slow and gives tracer and genji a big unnecessary advantage, but that's another topic entirely.

If the enemy has a Rein, only nano an ulting Soldier if the Reins shield is about to break. The damage from the ult isn't enough to break a full health shield even with Nanoboost, but it will be enough to finish a heavily damaged one and take people out that weren't expecting the shield to go down.
