Link was already on his way to Castle town at the beginning of the game to see Zelda, they could have just followed through with that. Then Link would be there when Zant attacked the castle and there would be a reason for him to end up in the dungeons instead of being dragged there for no reason.

What ever happened to the Deku? I was hoping they'd make an appearance in BoTW after encountering the Zora and Goron.

Anybody else let down by the portrayal of the Great Deku Tree in BoTW?

Don't get me wrong, I dig the Korok, can't help but feel they've replaced the Deku though —which is a shame. Also unsure why they went with the line of the Korok evolving from Kokiri —would be nice to still have a tribe of li'l pixie people.

You could just dye it however you want it, or make decisions based on armor features. Champions Tunic would leave you stuck with a blue pallet, but it does have some nice features. If I wanted to stay with just official sets, the Barbarian Armor is probably the obvious useful one.

So last thread I suggested that the 8 heroines might have been some badass Gerudo that founded the town after finding an endless supply of water in the desert and possibly also mastered the art of sand seal surfing, drove the Molduga to the brink of extinction and broke the back of the Electric Lizalfos horde. The 8th heroine ended up going rogue and became shunned.

Any other theories of what they are and/or why the 8th is not with the others

Tingles Rosy Rupeeland was never sold in the United States, but you can find it in English or other languages on ebay and it will work. The main character is Tingle. He crawls dungeons and fights monsters. He kills beasts and collects the body parts they drop so he can cook recipes to sell.

Maybe change your defense strategy. You don't have to shield or tank all incoming attacks, you can just evade and get distance between you and your foe. If you are successful at not getting hurt, it doesn't matter how long it takes for the other guy to die. Run away, and bomb him when he starts to charge.

Mipha is Ruto without the tsun. While the childhood friend aspect and Link growing up around Zoras brings to mind him growing up with the Kokiri, I think there's enough different between the circumstances of their lives that she's not quite a Saria clone like Ilia was. Link didn't live in Zora's Domain, though he was there frequently enough that he was close friends with them. He still had family like his father, who was a knight, and he too planned to become a knight like his father.

If you want to do it yourself, shouldn't take more than 10 minutes. Start a new game, get mag and stasis. Move the metal door near the bomb shrine here. Wack it with a hammer or club and fly into Lake Hyrule. Swim out of the lake, scale the walls and head southwest staying near the Plateau until you trigger it. Assuming you don't save as you do this, you should still keep your original save file.

Lots of spare time
Dueling Peaks shrine(Shae Vaneer) and Riverside Stable's shrine (Wahgo Katta) unlocked
Now, the waiting part:
Teleport up to the Dueling Peaks shrine, climb up a bit to the korok apple offering, throw down some wood and wait until Morning (every time), then wait until Night time.
Face your Camera to have the Riverside Stable in the middle of your screen - this is very important because Star Fragments fall in the direction your camera is facing
Wait. Seriously. Star Fragments fall at random times between the hours of 9pm to 2am. If no star fragment falls, wait until morning then night again. Star Fragments despawn at 5am, but you can teleport
Using this farming tactic I have seen star fragments fall in 3 places
1. east of the plateau tower
2. slightly north east of the riverside stables
3. medium far north of the riverside stables, there will be a guardian near it but running and dodging and picking it up and teleporting away it never once killed me

I'm a Riju shipper as well but let's face it the first time Link gets invited back for a seal race Zelda is ging to tag along to get her hands on the Divine Beast and strengthen ties with the Gerudo.
