There are absolutely zero(0) reasons you should summon in dark souls unless you're a weak-willed shitter. Most hosts are absolutely pure garbage, and if they aren't pure garbage(but still garbage) they're specifically summoning to gank invaders which puts them right there with sunfags.

Important to know the difference between the two.
Sunbros are there to help, they usually only put signs down before the bosses, and genuinely want to help people get through the game. If they see a host seed a world and otherwise sit around to gank, they will BC out.
Sunfags are degenerates. They never have their signs down at boss gates, only placing their signs down in high pvp areas. They have a healing spell equipped and a blessed shield + regen ring ready. Their only goal is to gank invaders and be as faggy as possible.
Sufags are absolute shitters, in both pvp and pve. If you catch one alone kill him asap.
>Reds
Most reds are just looking to brawl, expecting a 2v1 or 3v2. Reds are typically good at pvp because they actually enjoy invading. Might BC out at the first sign of bullshit.
>Blues
Either some poor cuck duped into farming for ears because he doesn't have collectors edition, or someone who actually wants to be a blue and 'protect' host.
90% chance to be absolute shit at pvp
>Purples
Epic memers. These are the ones doing le ebin troll characters and funny builds
Usually harmless, but are typically good players.
>Duelist
Duelist come in all forms, but for the most part they are honorable veterans looking to fight on even ground. This does not apply to casters, they are sub-humans.

Active duelist are by far the best players in the game. When invading they're most likely to be a Red or Purple.

I don't even regularly invade and this is what I wanted. Running through the game solo on NG+7 with a dried finger on really shows how detestable reds are as people, but there were a few cool ones.

However, every time a cowardly red ran off into mobs I'd have to pop a seed to get them to come back and fight, but it'd last for hours, and every subsequent red would see the seed symbol and assume the worst.

Now it lasts long enough to deal with cowards and then promptly fucks off so that the next red doesn't have to pay for the sins of the last.

for a while I thought for honor actually had worse netcode than this game, but now that its popularity is sinking and all the players are coming back to dark souls for the DLC, I'm starting to think that they were about equally bad and that for honor just had a worse playerbase

Also why the fuck is this sword so bad? It feels shorter than exile for some fucking reason, it's over 100 AR beneath it when twohanding with equal investment (553 vs 658), and does less damage than it even if you activate the buff, which basically never happens until you kill someone. And the buff activation is garbage; using twohanded R1s, I had to drain the entirety of my stamina on a black knight just to make this thing recover like thirty fucking health, which either a blessed caestus or sun princess can give you in fifteen seconds (assuming the effect is identical to the pontiff eye ring).

Slow HA weapons are one dimensional because they're too slow to be used for anything other than R1 trade guessing. That means they're limited, but it also means they're simple.
By choosing to bring a massive weapon into PvP you're basically choosing to roll the dice and hope you come out on top, instead of trying to play around the other guy and win through your own ability.
Getting mad when the other player doesn't throw their dice against you just means you're a shitter.

Bad wording I think. A lot of people, and possibly this guy, realize that you have a natural advantage in space control when you're retreating and the other guy is advancing. And since there's no corner to trap yourself in, there's no penalty for just backpedalling forever and hoping the other guy chases you, putting yourself in a good position. Of course most of the time there's also no reason to chase anybody either, so this is just meme bullshit that crops up because Souls PvP is degenerate.

To play the matchup like a proper fighting game where you can't just backpedal forever, he needs to close the distance inside each player's attack range or just to the edge of it, without committing to anything, to prompt some kind of reaction. If he does this and you keep attacking in response, in an attempt to HA through his attack, then he can start trying to bait your attack from the edge of range and then punish it with proper spacing. If you don't attack at all and just let him walk up, he can pressure with faster R1s after he's made sure his timing is off-beat enough to make it hard for you to guess when he'll attack.

It looks like he's trying to do that, and just making a shitty job of it. At the end he fucks himself with the fast turn animation which prevents the roll input from working. Tough titties I guess.

Main changes are giving Bident the bump up it deserves finally and experimenting more with Crucifix enough to justify placing it in top since it was an on edge case already. Biggest things knocked down by the patch were Dragonslayer Spear and Lothric War Banner losing the left hand glitch.

Twin Axes were alright before the TRC patch dropped. Then they got a stealth buff on their first two L1 attacks which gave them a huge speed and momentum buff. This makes actually landing the high damage L1 combo they have much easier to pull off now and makes them equivalent to Sellsword's in effective DPS in PvP.

All quickstep secondary effect daggers should be top tier, together with corvian. Daggers are anti-meta right now.
RKS > LS > LtS.
Hand Axe is a great offhand for spears. Fast horizontal swings with okay AR.
PKCS = Storm and they're all high tier at best. They cannot hit and roll away from hyper armor GS. Everything else go down one tier, except Demon's Scar, that should go down two tiers for being neutered by an item / spell with 0 investment / ring.
Spears are fine, although the damage nerf hurts GFS and I'd argue it's only High tier now. I'd rise LKLS just because of its utility. 15 poise is a lot.
Frayed = WP and they're all high tier. HA meta is too hard to be a pokelord, Frayed makes up the lack of range with the bleed utility and it's own version of area denial.
Gael = BKS and they're all top tier. BKS is just cancer.
Exile is still cancer.
Halberds can't be top tier because they're interrupted by everything unless you get like 50 poise.
Hammers are fine.
Greataxes are fine.
UGSs are fine.
Irithyll Rapier is the best rapier now.
The only high tier paired weapons are quills, gotthards axes and Pugs. Doors, VH and memetwinblades of 0 range are strong but will never hit anyone with a brain.
Friede's Scythe is terrible. Mid tier at best, above the others. Corvian is the best scythe and it's still bad.

With DEX weapons I feel like I'm walking a razor's edge. I need to time my attacks perfectly to kill my opponent yet if I so much as get hit by a STR weapon half my fucking HP is gone.

STR weapons are much more forgiving for bad players.

The only reason Sellsword's are above Warden is damage right? Because I do think the movetypes for those two weapons aren't that great aside from the running attacks.
