The new patch seems to have buffed the sunlight straight sword by a good amount. Yorshka's spear is still shit and blessed infusions are halfway decent now but are still way outclassed by heavy/sharp/refined, especially since you can't buffed blessed-infused weapons. At least they're a step up from raw infusion now.

Why did the make invasions so fucking garbage in ds3?

I'm playing through for the first time since release and I'm now remembering why I didn't continue to play it like I did with DS1. Every time I invade it's into a host +2 phantoms AND they get blue sentinels. Invaders need to deal like 6x the damage they take to win because all the phantoms can heal as well now.

For the perseverance change, it looks like the buff now has two stages.
First stage is as before
Second stage halves the ABS bonus
For the mace, the second stage was roughly halfway through the duration, which is basically as soon as you finish the actual animation

Poise cancer from AoA + buff to heavy infusion in TRC. The game balance is trash now, even moreso than pre-dlc. There's no skill involved, just trade blows and hope you can tank that hit. Projected Heal is amazing. It casts very quickly and the AoE with Filianore's Chime is very generous.

Speaking of Filianore's Chime, I would say it's the best chime for support. The spellbuff is low, but if you're not focusing on offensive miracles or weapon buffs then it doesn't really matter.
