With most of the spells, but a lot of armour, hp regen etc.

I was thinking about Lightning Lucrene as a main weapon. Any other suggestions? Is Wolnir GS viable now or is it still trash?

The UP ones are the weapons that have poor damage compared to the rest of their class, have much less payout for too much investment, fail to fulfill whatever niche they were designed in mind with, or have no advantages over another weapon of similar requirements. These problems show up in UGS a lot because their requirements are high, but their damage isnt allowed to be because then theyd all 2 shot you because thatd be proportional. DUGS get around this because they decided swinging two UGS 8 times total should cost less stamina than swinging 1 UGS 4 times, do more damage, cover a wider area, do more poise damage, and have more range, especially more phantom range. Its like they stuck shockwave aoe on their lunges and swipes, but then just made that aoe do damage instead.
Some UGS are a little weak, but the DUGS definitely has too many great things going for it among UGS. It carries all the same weaknesses, but all of the ideal strengths.

separate pvp arena for try hards, rpg elements are removed. Players just pick a weapon and just hit each other add a leaderboard whatever.

Instead of having players invade as themselves they could come into a players world as a special enemy/tougher version of an existing enemy, it would be different depending on where you invade. (ie become a preacher lady at Undead settlement, or be a hand ogre in profaned capital)

keep purples but let them be true wild cards, they can fully help you all the way to the boss fight or just kill you for a covenant item.

maybe these are actually terrible ideas.

The fact that I can beat these games with crappy weapons doesn't have anything to do with the fact that PvP nerfs often fuck the really cool stuff so you end up with nonsense like the FUGS doing less damage than a heavy EGS despite the FUGS having higher stat reqs and weighing more and the EGS being early gear.

ARPGs are inherently unbalanced and trying to balance them for PvP, at least in the way FROM does it, invariably obviates a bunch of stuff that would otherwise be worth using.

It already does dark damage, scales better off Faith up to 60 (the letters are backwards), and you can buff it to stack the dark damage. You can two hand it at 27 STR for max AR, and clown on people with it's great moveset.

Blessed Weapon + Anri's Straight Sword. Anri's has inherent regen but can also be buffed which is why Luck is good.

Use Filianore's Charm buff, and cast Soothing Sunlight. With Princess Ring and Milwood Shield you get some saucy regen.
