The monster fleeing has to be a meme, I haven't noticed it at all. The super aggressive little shit trash, however, is getting on my nerves. I've begun actually attacking Congas and Apercos intentionally right there mid-hunt just to get the faggots off of me. Congas are the absolute worst.

How do people actually fight monsters in full offensive sets? I've been trying to wean myself off of them but everyone I see not using them either use Adept or Brave, and both don't work that well for my weapon.

So I've been testing out brave as a secondary style when mons start pushing my shit in too hard with guild. Thing is: I ca't ever tell how the fuck brave is supposed to activate. Is it based on the monster's attack damage? pure timing? I can easily dodge everything the great maccao throws at me, but tigrex's charges nearly always hit me like a truck filled with smaller trucks, no matter when I try activating the adept sheathe dodge. What gives?

Considering that we now have a viable Pierce Element lv 1 RF option, True Shot Up hasn't been nerfed that I'm aware of, and Pierce Element RF only received a slap on the wrist, I'd say they're still fine.

The question is more "do the monsters that are relevant in the endgame have notable elemental weakspots?".

Maybe it'd have mattered more if there were less armor specific skills. All the best 4U combined skills return in XX but like, they only activate if you wear a full set. If there were charms with them then it might be worthwhile, but there aren't. I could see some Edgelore Deviant mixed sets, but that ain't happening, and ECECE basically does what you can't get Mantis to do, so it's really just a toss up between those two sets.

I have Attack Up Large + Normal/Rapid Up + TrueShot Up + Weakness Exploit + Load Up in MHGen.
Challenger+2 + Normal/Rapid Up +TrueShot Up + CE+1 + Weakness Exploiter + Critical Boost.
So, basically, it's trading AuL for Chall+2, Load Up for Crit Boost and it's gaining CE+1 as extra. It's certainly a very strong set, but it's not breaking into a new level of overpowered.

Anyone else feel like Glav is one of the easiest flagships?

He just dies so quick, his most powerful move is defeated by standing next to him, his throat can be tapped to incapacitate him for an hour, and the hardest thing about him is cutting that tail.

Gore Magala may be easier but I count Shaggy as the real flagship of 4 as he's Gore's real form anyway.

You need a full 4 man party of people who know the fight inside and out over dozens of hunts to clear G6's, which makes memeblade the easiest by far since everyone has known that shitter for generations and he's only received like 1 new move, on top generally having weak attacks outside his gigantic telegraphed tail spins.

G Mizutsune and G Deviant both get that new attack where it coils up Najarala style then fucking starts sliding around and slapping its ass everywhere, and despite being a "telegraphed" attack, does way too much damage for the fact you never know which way that fuckin attack will go, on top of linking it back to back multiple times. Seems impossible to beat without adept evasion or evasion+2.

All the G deviants have stupid AoE moves now and in G6 they're virtually guaranteed carts if you get hit by them, but memeblade is the only one where it's both immensely telegraphed and just a single hit to evade or get away from. Everyone else gets either damn fast near instant OHKO moves, or repeated AoE's, or their more "normal" attacks suddenly can cart.

the new deviants especially are just bullshit city but Azurebolt takes the cake.
G6 Azurebolt's:
>super laser sword carts
>gravity ball carts
>dive carts
>flying paralyze tail AoE carts
>grounded paralyze tail carts
>"charge up" half-a-second telegraphed wing slam carts, on top of linking like Brach's old ground punches
literally 5 OHKO moves, 3 are AoE's, and 2 are "normal' attacks it frequently does.

on top of being unflashable in blue energy mode. It's like someone took the Dread raths, gave them aids, rabies and thunder element for the mad stuns, then called it a day.

Looking at it purely from a damage standpoint, Poison is stronger than Blast for Hyper Jho since the cap is so high. For regular Jho, he'll die before he reaches the cap.

However, you have to take into account the fact that Blast means more staggers, which means more trips. On top of that, the Blast weapons in Generations are stronger than the Poison weapons.

They all look like shit and you get to the final boss in like 8 hours if you transfer your end-game save from X/Gen. Not that hard of a final boss as far as final bosses go, and certainly nowhere near as difficult as the G5 and G6 deviants of which there are more than a dozen which could very well be super last boss material in their own right, but deviant gear is still generally pretty retarded when the effort to beat any single G6 is excessively more than beating the Mantis.

Even the Fatalis's are more of a challenge.

That being said, the various Fatalis weapons are pretty damn dope and also get double the blast element of memeblade.

Mantis weapons are still really good though, and not for a lot of effort.

A get-out-of-jail art like Absolute Readiness WILL encourage poor positioning habits and thus, cause me to get hit more in mainline games.
