What does the Divine Spear Fragment do that sets it apart from the Ritual Spear Fragment? It they seem nearly identical.

So what would be a good build for the mad king halberd thingy? 40str/40faith with dark weapon buff? At 60 str and base requirements for int and faith the damage is pretty meh, even with the dark resin.

What's a good melee side arm for a hexer build?

I thought it would be great and fun to use but damage seems abit low, eats up stamina, roll into attack is very slow, the shield only blocks 60% physical and the sword bounces off of shields on block. It also doesnt receive the 1.5x strength bonus from 2 handing does it? Weapon arts are cool, but im having trouble finding opportunities theyd be useful for.

I want to like it but im finding it a bit difficult

No, just one of each type. It won't take tons of cycles, that's the S&M way.

Just make a dude, rush through the bosses. You'll get really fucking good at it. Just keep a list of the shit you need in a text file and any conditions needed to get it.

I make a sorcerer and get sorceries, cleric for miracles, etc.

Done that since DeS which I have the plat for. I'm only missing one trophy for BB and that isn't a grindy one, it's to kill the bitch in the chalice dungeons which I've done before but it didn't pop and I haven't bothered go back. I have DaS1, DaS2, and almost DaS3 but I always play, get a few, take a break and do something else, rinse repeat.

Fun but mediocre in pvp
You have to take advantage of the blockframes at the start of its attacks to eat one of their hits and get a combo and then start your pressure/rollcatches
The jumping attack is great, the r1 spam punishes people trying to roll around you and you always have the really good straight sword 1h moveset to fall back on, albeit with pretty bad range compared to the rest of the class.
The weapon arts aren't that useful. Generally the lunge is just a worse version of the unique jumping attack and the roar is too slow to guardbreak anyone not asleep at the controller, but situationally sometimes they're the right option.
Don't even try to use it without massive stamina investment, and you have to know what weapons you can trade with at various stamina levels, and it doesn't handle lag well since it relies on timing attacks, but if you put the work in to get good its really fun and definitely usable.

The First Flame is maintaining an illusion, which we've known about for all 3 games now.

This is the closest to the Age of Dark we've been, and the First Flame can't do it anymore.

Really, the only closure we have is the Usurper ending. The continuing of the Fire is completely pointless because we're just tossing embers into the flame and nothing is even really happening. The Dark ending is just everything going black, and it will just eventually start of the Age of Fire again. It seems like Kaathe actually had humanity's best interest in mind since he was serving the Pygmy Lords who wanted to take the world for humans. Since you're now the king of this new human sun, and the serpents are long dead, it's your world now. If things go to shit, you can always jump in the loli's painting, since she's at your disposal now.

the stamina values for favor are wrong like they were with the +2 ring. It says you get 184 stamina with the +3 ring at 40 end, but I had 179 when I checked. Here's what I have for anyone who's curious:

24: 134
25: 136 (+2)
26: 140 (+4)
27: 142 (+2)
28: 144 (+2)
29: 147 (+3)
30: 150 (+3)
31: 152 (+2)

And for anyone who's curious, with 10 vitality, you can get a perfect 70% midroll (as opposed to like 69.9 or something), though you're slightly over if you try to get a perfect 30% lightroll with that vitality. This is going off of the fact that I'm pretty sure the ring adds 8% equipload, so at 10 vitality you've got an equipload of 50, which when multiplied by 8% will leave you with 54.0 exactly. You can take 70% of this and you'll get 37.8, which only goes down to the tenths place, just like all ingame equipment. For some reason I can't get a perfect lightroll like this though, I think the actual requirement for a lightroll is to have LESS than 30% equipload, not just 30% equipload.

Well i made it to the Friede boss fight on my sl 22 cleric.

I don't understand why some people think you have to clear the entire dlc to get to her. Its pretty easy and the hardest thing was pulling vinhelm guy out onto the cliff and making him roll off.

Dork Dragon was pretty easy if you go melee with a fast weapon and alternate between head and tail. Takes ages to kill him that way though and I don't even want to imagine how long it will take to kill him in higher NG+ cycles.

However, the bloated HP are generally a problem if you play a caster since your casts are finite. Pyros have a hard time with the demon prince and the dork dragon, for obvious reasons. Even my buddy who plays a faith caster did almost no damage to the demon prince, like 250 per sunlight spear.

So what happens after killing slave Knight Gael? I gave the dark soul to the painting girl, she Tha led me, that's it. I'm guessing this implies shell paint a whole new world (another cycle of fire/dark?)

Anything I'm missing? Already solo'd Midir. I feel...So incomplete. I was expecting some type of major idk, cut scene or something. All this time. All the dark souls games and a their dlc. All the enemies me and my Mace have killed. All the arrows me and my BK shield have blocked. Something. Maybe I'm missing something?

I ran the bottom gauntlet each time on my first character, damn near broke my controller from half the attempts even with the AI summons to back me up.

I wised up the second time, just abused the de-spawning feature and gradually murdered everything on the upper levels up to the point where I would just cheese the flaming armpit at the end with Soul Arrows from the high ground before waltzing through the fog.

I think it took me a day or two to despawn all three rooms, but I would call it worth it simply because I could take an almost straight shot to Blue Smelter every time afterward.
