The tip that made the fight for me is this:
Stand slightli behind his head, near the point where his neck connects to his body. He will 50% of the time do the left swing-right swing combo, which is easily dodgable, 25% fly away and do breath-laser, and 20% do the breath while flying over. Left 5% in case he does some new shit, but he only did those while i was fighting him this way. Got it on 2nd try after doing it this way.

Im really getting sick of the ringed knights stretching my ring amd the praying koopas and may actually summon to get through this part.

All right, this boss was pretty fun. He was pretty tough, but fair, outside of his laser beam instagibbing me if it even so much as touches me because I was on NG+. If I got hit by the grab attack outside the first time, it was my own fault since he telegraphs it so obviously.

For the people who can't predict his charge, he does it when you're not in his face and he hasn't done anything for a few seconds (any time he's stationary, you should be suspicious). The tell is that you see the water splash at his feet right before he dashes, so you should already be suspecting a charge and quickly dodge the second you see the splash. Took me a few tries to figure that one out, but after that I was able to dodge it reliably.

His Oceiros-style rampage is also pretty easy to deal with, just roll under his belly when you see him begin, then follow him and hug his left side since that's where his head stops. During his second phase he tends to do it twice in a row I noticed, so you have to be careful after he stops the first time.

Other than that, what everybody else said is true, you just have to predict where his head ends up after an attack and chip at it one hit at a time. And there's no sense whining about it either, this is exactly how you beat Lorian, Champ and Nameless King.

Ive just seen plenty of people disappointed that it didnt answer any questions and only brought up more. The bossfights are incredible and the new weapons are fun. It upsets lorefags because their autistic fan-theories won't be given any credence. Then there's the people that expected some major lore dump that hasn't been done ever before to explain all the very deliberate empty spaces and loose ends. It actually has some challenging bosses and levels, which upsets retards and people that try to roll through the game on autopilot.

Then of course there's the camp of people that just really hate Dark Souls 3 who wouldn't be happy no matter what they did with TRC. There might also be a small group of people that are enraged by all the DS2 callbacks, but I highly doubt that those sorts of people really exist outside of these threads.

A lot of the verticality is pointless. They just design a level, lift some of it up, then add stairs/ladders/elevators.
The angel and ranger barrage is tedious. The dlc has nearly no replay value.

it didnt need to reveal everything but some explanation on shit like the serpents, the connection of the game worlds, and maybe on the age of fire/dark cycle would have been nice. In fact im convinced that if you were to ask miyazaki the answers to these questions he wouldnt be able to answer them himself because I highly doubt they even bothered making an explanation for them due to the fact that they can hide a lot of cryptic details and references into item descriptions and NPC dialogue and let Vaati do their job for them. It was cool in DaS1 and 2 when the world was still be established and the questions were still forming but for the series to end the way it did just seems like lazy storytelling.

Spooky Screaming Axe is pretty fun, too bad you have to basically rely on buffs to use it, which feels wrong on a pure faith build.

That said the Hammer R2s tend to catch people out alot, and Faith in general is very well suited to the Spear fight.

They literally forged their weapons and armor in the Abyss, you dont go forging in things you dont have under control.
And by 'peacefully co-existed' you mean got fucked over by the gods after they fought in the war against the dragons for them, they should by all rights be up there with silver knights in prestige and instead they get sealed away in the ringed city.

The fact that the knights wear blindfolds in defiance of the gods makes it pretty clear that things weren't just fine and dandy.

lmao2ultra!! is good, but it's basically meta cancer at this point so make sure that's not a problem.

Vordt's Greathammer got huge buffs and is now super popular, typically it procs frostbite after two hits.

Splitleaf Greatsword is pretty decent as more acrobatic weapon, does very well Heavy.

The Pickaxes and Warpicks are pretty good as they have the Galvanise WA and deal Thrust damage that makes them very good for just trading.

Burger King Greataxe is also a fun weapon with a good moveset unlike all the other G-Axes.

Profaned Greatsword tends to get alot of love too, though it might be more of a Quality choice.

Outside of that you can Heavy Infuse alot of stuff. I'm sure there are some good Greathammers and Greataxes left, but since many of them tend to share the same movepool and mostly trash WAs, it's hard to really point them out.

Sunlight Spear still does filthy damage, and against multiple phantoms you have enough HA to deliver them from a Yorshka's chime into their face and that will evaporate a phantom.

It's not for sniping, I still prefer it to Stake, which is easier to whiff. Lighting Bow I will use to finish people off, respectable damage but not really enough to be using for anything other than killing blows - or against a bad opponent who doesn't realise the cast can be withheld, then it's fun.

Lighting in general works well as the wall of spears act as a sort of smokescreen, people don't notice you casting them. Combine that with Great Heal and finally Faith Builds feel like a powerful PvP presence, even if it involves Painting Guardians and a gorillion poise.

I'll give you one thing though, Ringed City cemented once and for all that Kaathe is not to be trusted under any circumstances, but it actually gave non-Kaathe Darkfags as a whole a nice, solid basis to stand on to make a case for why drawing power from the Dark is not [immediately] a terrible idea. Darkwraiths have nothing on the far more well-adjusted Ringed Knights, too.

Ringed Knight Paired Greatswords is every single thing wrong with this game thrown into one moveset. Jesus Christ... they are by far the most obnoxious thing to fight against.

It's not surprising that every jackass now flocks to the weapon. Flashy attacks, outrageous damage combos, stupid hyper armor, huge hit box, ranged attack.

They put so much effort into this particular paired weapon, and then you have things like the Splitleaf Greatsword that has nothing unique outside of the weapon art. Same goes for the fat humanity guy Curved Greatsword. Nothing special but weapon arts.

Why is it acceptable to be this fucking lazy and uncreative. I've never gotten an "anime" feeling from the series before this game's 2 DLC's, but boy, did they sure go all the way with it now.
