Cammy in SF4, Ken in 3S, Fei Long in ST, frank west/zero/doom in in marvel etc

he's a turtle character with garbage pokes. you're limited to jabs (high), ewgf (high, startup depends on your execution), f+4 (slow), ff+3 (slow), df+1 (slow, not good enough on block to continue pressure), b+2 (hitconfirmable into b+2,4, loses to backdash and sidesteps), db+4 (punishable low), and db+3 (high crushing low).

based on frames alone it's hard to get in and stay on offense with kazuya, so you really have to learn to work in movement to your offense. quick backdashes, ducks, sidesteps, and wavedashes to evade or bait and punish retaliation is basically how his offense is optimally played.

doesn't mean don't play by the frame data, but learn it and play around it. you may not be able to punish a panic dick jab, but it's -7, meaning it's your turn to keep running offense. you really have to notice their habits in situations where they aren't punishable, but at significant frame disadvantage, as you can use them as tells for when to just wavedash in their face and throw the frame data out the window, just put them in a straight up rps or 50/50 situation.

Even if your opponent has infinite meter you have the advantage after blitzing. If he tries to blitz back you can either go high, low or just go for a throw and he has to chose his actions based on those possibilities. Using a high hitting move and charging a blitz attack are not your only choices when blitzing, and even when doing a blitz attack it becomes unrejectable when fully charged so trying to blitz back the blitz attack isn't that reliable either.

You can play the game perfectly without the dlc. The 2nd encore dlc has all the previous dlc characters+palettes in one package and adds voiced story modes and real combo trials.
The beta should still be up on steam so you can test all dlc characters there.

One thing that SFV did right is recording a wakeup thing in training mode. Trying to time something like a wakeup DP in Xrd is pretty finnicky. The frame counter helps at least. Trying to practice something like anti-dp OS takes a while just to set up.
