Hellground predictions

-Over 5k players will try to play on launch.
-Server will be DDoSed and launch day will be a mess, many won't bother after this.
-A high amount of players will quit after seeing lackluster vanilla content, pathfinding, minor class issues.
-Most will be ok with prenerf/corecraft values in heroics. Only a really small amount of players will complain.
-A few will quit over certain raid bugs that will be discovered.
-Koostosh will continue fixing things daily but it won't be fast enough because after all he is just one man.
-One month after launch we will have ~1k euro peaks while NA peaks will be less than 600.

Would a tryhard minmax guild run a raid with a boomkin? No but that doesn't mean they are trash.

Endgame boomkin dps is mid tier and a good geared and skilled boomkin can do surprisingly good.

Usual reasons for Boomkins to fall behind is keeping IMF on boss, which is around 5% dps loss but it is a really valuable yet underrated debuff and wasting time and mana casting combat rez and/or innervating other players.

If a guild does not recruit you because you are a boomkin, they are trash and not worthy of your time really.

Just tested DPS of 5 classes/specs and each test was done over the course of exactly 120 seconds

1. Spriest - 972 DPS with their crafted gear and the rest vendor stuff fully enchanted
2. Mage (Arcane Frost) - 1024 DPS same as above
3. Mage (Arcane Fire) - 1183 DPS same as above with t5 off pieces in the slots that they don't need crafted gear
4. Elemental Shaman - 1101 DPS in t5
5. Fury Warrior - 844 DPS in t4 with crafted maces

Redid the 5 DPS tests because you're all spergs and went to 150 seconds instead.

1. Spriest - 976 DPS this time, just used crafted gear and blues like last time but had slightly higher uptime on VT.
2. Mage (Arcane Frost) - 1022 DPS using mostly same gear as Spriest just crafted with blues
3. Mage Arcane Fire) - 831 DPS with crafted gear and blues. Doesn't provide nearly enough crit to make it viable.
4. Elemental Shaman - 897 DPS with crafted gear and blues.
5. Fury Warrior - 662 DPS with crafted gear + blues + crafted maces (wasn't able to get high enough crit to keep flurry up almost 100% of the time)

I always end up as dps on pservers. Every fucking time.
When I rolled on GD and wanted to be a prot warrior I ended up being fury instead.
Similarily when I played on peenix way back, I rolled a paladin to try healing and ended up being ret.
When I went Shaman on Excalibur I ended up playing enhancement instead of Resto which I wanted to do.

Meanwhile on retail I wanted to be fury and ended up playing prot for 3 expansions.

Resto shaman - Absolutely essential, god tier raid heals, totems, bloodlust
Holy priest - Pretty good
Resto druid - Mainly tank healers, really strong early game but they fall off later.
Holy paladins - Tank healers, the only good thing about them is that they never go oom and that they bring a blessing. I wouldn't roll one.

Resto shamans are the best but they have horrid single target healing mana efficiency. The worst of any of the healers.

Resto druids are kind of the jack of all trades healer but they aren't that great in T6.

Holy priests are good at both tank and raid healing but not as good as a shaman at raid healing or as good as a pally at tank healing.

Holy pallies are by far the most efficient single target healers and their blessings/judgements provide a lot of utility to raids. Also the ability to bubble a dps and completely wipe their threat is invaluable.
