The fact that if you leave you can't come back ever. The amount of farming required to catch up with those who play every day and do content with them is insane. A game could work without one if it was going for that oldschool feel.
But ToS kind of went half way with that.
It's stuck between being oldschool and a modern day theme park.
But the dungeon finder and loot is only a few of the problems with the game that drive away players.
The tokens, trade and storage restrictions are a huge issue to new players, I've personally witnessed many friends say "wtf is this shit" and not log back on because of the trade/token stuff and the market tax.
I think the new player experience in general needs a revamp, how many people quit because they ran out of quests back in the day because no one told them about the card girl and exploring.
And yes I'm talking about hand holding, which is something you either love or hate.
But it comes back to ToS not really knowing what it wants to be, is it an oldschool game where you figure things out for yourself and make parties, or is a themepark mmo that holds you hand, ToS went for a bit of both and kind of failed on both fronts

How likely is it to find someone willing to powerlevel me as in those dungeon vouchers? Would it be easier if I joined a guild? I just need to get over that hump from 80-125.

Cleric2Priest1Diev3Miko here. A few days ago I asked here what should I pick for R8 and you told me to go with Inquisitor. I thought I fucked up with my build, but turns out the interactions between Miko and Inqui make it totally broken. I maxed Pear of Anguish first and I'm killing ground bosses much, much faster than my Dragoon. Why is this allowed? With DM+Sweeping I can throw 14 (fourteen) pears to rekt bosses with their ridiculous damage.

Also, is there any Inquisitor fanart? I'm still missing a few classes in my ToS folder.

I don't get why the item system is so shitty. Even if items are shit except for a few exceptional ones, why not roll with it? Why not ice, earth, dark Arde dagger clones? we usually can mix both, depends on your current goal. cloth is decent but it has competition from plate shit now on the mdef department. of course a 4/4 cloth with maxed masteries and 2x blue gem on shoes are nice (sp pool too) but today is easier to just:

superior kovos 2x blue gems (210~ mdef with lv 6 ones),
top/botton free (so you can go very high defense with yellow gems or even cloth if you want morem itigation)
free gloves (usually a dps one like virtov/red veris or farming one like vubbe (4 aoe ratio = 2 medium mobs, 5 = 3, 7 = 4).

so the thing about cloth is you can roll 3 pieces + superior kovos for mega mdef but all cloth gloves sux and you'll fell limited in the aoe ratio thing unless you can get at least +1 from a hat (to achiv 5 = 4 medium mobs) but your defense will suffer. regardless, with 4x yellow gems (top/botton) + aspersion and guardian if DEADLY needed, you can do well against physical dps even with 1800~ def

fat mdef rings (sissels are still ok, if you main fencer without phys dps alts, can even +5++ and it transcend since it's cheaper than weapon and well, you have no weapon to overtrans)

max peta. (agny gives more dps with the raw 200 fire damage, but some maps deserves more mdef).

you can also wear a mdef shield it it's really needed but the dps loss is noticiable (apier mastery+karacha stats.

- hats
mix ellaganos with nuaeles 4/4 is a good pick if you went full dex fencer and already has all the crit rate stuff (max peta, karacha, 2x sissels and is using green gem on dagger instead of red).

Remember nuaele (and aspersion) snapshots when you enter in the map so you can enter with all mdef stuff like shield, cloth set, hats, boots, rings and etc to enjoy a huge part of it even if you switch out all that gear to pure dps one.
