It's sad because X6 also has an X1-style system where other stages change permanently depending on your boss order. But the game doesn't explain this, and not only does the Nightmare Effects system have poor explanation, the actual stage changes via boss order are often mistaken for being them even if they're not effected.

In a sense, no matter how you play the game, you're gonna get fucked by either a clusterfuck or cheap death effects ontop.

I like 8 so maybe I'm a little biased, but it's probably to do with people getting tired with the series formula which eventually led to the Classic series going dormant until 9.

The game is also pretty easy except for the "Jump Jump, Slide Slide" sections, but those are about as annoying as Quick Man lasers since they also rely on memorisation and quick reflexes.

I just realized that X and MegaMan.EXE are the Proto Mans of their generations.


Proto Man was the first of a new type of highly advanced robot known as a Robot Master. Each Robot Master is based on his design.

X is the first of a new type of robot that can think for itself. Each Reploid is based on his design. He is the Proto Man of Reploids.

MegaMan.EXE is the first of a new type of NetNavi that can better connect with their operator. Subsequent Navis were all based off his design. He's the Proto Man of modern Navis.
This is hilarious because it means that ProtoMan is based off MegaMan in this universe. ProtoMan.EXE isn't actually the prototype of anything. Though I know he's still called ProtoMan because of regional naming conventions.

You can stretch this further by having Model W as the prototype of the Biometals, too. Models X, Z, H, L, F, P, and A were all based off Model W's properties.
But Model W isn't a Mega Man, despite the name being used as a title in ZX.

when the transition to Classic to X happened, there wasn't much of the current age that was identifiable, same to X to ZX and ZX to Legends.

Civilization was devolved into a earlier stage with all those apolicaliptic events, tech probably stagnated a bit.

The net was probably wiped out almost entirely and a new one was built over it, probably some old stuff and sites may still survive, its possible MMBN may still exist as a memory of richter type of boss.

Usually, Vile's canon is on the right shoulder instead of the left. That seems awfully nitpicky of me, though. If you want him to look a lot like Vile, I'd make sure to put in the gold abdomen, just below his breastplate. The torso seems a little long, but I do like what you're doing with the legs.

You should, it's good practice. Finding all crystals isn't that hard. You should be able to improve to the point that you can take the first form final boss losing barely any health (His special is among the simplest to dodge, fortunately) 2nd form can be hard, but is doable. Just don't lose your cool.
