It's not fun, it has an overly complicated control scheme, instead of interesting level design they just throw in a bunch of instant death traps to make you restart, boss fights are boring because they lack challenge just filled with "You fucked up once so now you die" and visually the game is generic and bland. I beat Pyroman's stage and put the game down content I would never play it again.

As a comparison a friend gifted me Megaman legacy collection about a week after stopped playing Mighty no 9 and I beat Megaman 1 and 2 over the weekend.

I have no idea why I'm playing.
Building your character doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, the menus are horrible, pretty much every encounter with other characters is embarrassing (if it even makes sense, what the fuck are these conversations you have with your party members?), and the gameplay is pretty barebones.
Yet, it's scratching some weird itch. I wish I could just find a F2P MMO that wasn't garbage or something instead, or just a really good grinding game that isn't Disgaea.

Gameplay wise it's entirely different with the only real common aspect being NIS' love of stat overload with lots of different kinds of stats that you don't -really- need to understand all of.

It's also pretty clunky gameplay wise so plenty of the criticism is deserved, but I think if you're a NIS fan and don't mind some clunkiness it's definitely worth a look. Combat isn't great and is heavily repetitive but some of the bosses can be pretty fun.

The strongest thing about Hundred Knight is its story and cast. It's very much written like NIS' other games, Disgaea included, but the cast and story go in some darker directions that Disgaea doesn't usually tread. Which I think is really damn entertaining and I hope they make more of these games that go further than they can with Disgaea.

Personally Metallia is one of my favourite characters ever, too.

There's a demo on PS4 that is the first chapter taken straight from the game (saves transfer to the full game even) so give it a try. The demo gives a good idea of what the game is like, though it's worth noting later stages are a bit more open than the ones that early on.

I just had a scary thought.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is supposed to come out Fall of this year. If Rockstar continues this 3-4 year release schedule, then Agent won't launch until 2020 or 2021. I doubt the PS4 will be around at that point. So there's a chance that a PlayStation exclusive from Rockstar will miss two (2) console generations. Just fucking cancel it already; it won't be nearly as impressive as Sony tried to convey vaguely.

Just finished Psychonauts VR, Started when it was available at midnight, meaning the length is just under three hours. No collectibles or many easter eggs, so I think it's shorter/less replayable than Batman. I only missed three trophies.

As far as it being a point-and-click adventure game, the puzzles don't require much thinking at all. Very straightforward, linear, and the game doesn't even give you access to every Psi power most of the time. Interaction is minimal.

It still takes advantage of VR with the different perspectives and varying degrees of scale, but this is yet another tech demo. And to me it doesn't really feel like Psychonauts until the end, for obvious reasons. Writing and line delivery are considerably flatter overall--and the repeated dialogue (automatic, not triggered) makes it worse.

I enjoyed the hell out of the demo of the game, so I'm safe to assume I will enjoy the full game also. Like all Yoko Taro and platinum games it wil probably be pretty short but then what, I have still enjoyed them greatly. It was clearly delayed so they could release it in the 2017 fiscal year since they were already in the green for 2016. The 2017 fiscal year starts on April 1, and It makes a world of difference to investors - and would be a waste to release it before that otherwise.

But Igor is a huge letdown too; His new voice is absolutely crucial to get right, and this guy just sounds so fucking bored, and they added a weird as fuck distortion filter over it in the dub that was definitely not there in Japanese.
