Persia actually modernizes too fast. It can modernize by 1852. Can't capture central Asia in time for it to be a state and not a colony. States are great, because of migration. Colonial migration is shit though and so very slow compared to state migration and assimilation. Sindh was the goat for that reason. all my province's had a Sindh minority that got assimilated. also if you support Central Asian powers against each other you you can save BB by acquiring whole states.

If you start boosting relations with the UK/France from the start you can normally avoid them attacking.
I did an Egypt->Arab Union run a while back and I only had to fight the Ottomans+Russia which wasn't that hard.
Also try to get GP status before the Suez canal can be built otherwise your sphere leader will take Suez and if it's the UK or France it can be a real pain in the ass to get back and you need it to form the Arab Union.

Herald from /kpg/. I am having issues with a Korean campaign. It seems like I just have fuck all for economy and am penny pinching just to keep my head above water economically ( avoid taking loans ). In this playthrough Oirat called me into 2 wars early and so I did not start taking land until late. I took Exploration first but find that colonizing is really pushing my economy and any war I start I will almost reliably always take a loan. I have also gotten severely screwed on events that necessitated many stability boosts, so I am only just on time with my admin tech ( forget developing or taking ideas ). This is my second playthough of the country, my first ended up in a disaster due to economic problems and my military just not being able to fight any of the hordes despite being 2 tech ahead and superior numbers. Not really, there's quite a few factors in play. If the US goes to war after 1900, it's not unusual to see countries like the UK getting a few dozens of immigrants. Since I had a huge amount of reforms and already had about a dozen provinces with Russian pops in it, they felt inclined to move into my country every time the US went to war, along with some Indians from westernized Indian principalities. Argentina and Brazil were also dictatorships and Uruguay reached its pop cap for immigration, I'm pretty sure this helped too.

Lewdanon, got another question for you. Do you want traits to be really deterministic, or would you prefer to let players choose things out of their character's... well, character? I prefer traits being deterministic, and I'd prefer to put a bunch of trait checks on all of the content I'm fleshing out (like characters with X trait can only respond in this way, characters with Y and Z traits have the option to do this, etc). I realize that's a lot of extra work and it costs the player agency, though, so I'd imagine you'd probably like me to restrict it to just the player receiving special options of what to do based on their traits while still having the ability to pick other choices, yeah?Also, you should ask about vampires again. I gave my view last time but nobody else said anything, and I would like to know how they're going to function so I can mock up some scenarios for them.

just finished up war with ottomans and cleaned up borders, ending game here. I had 400k +spain against ottomans with 350k + france, but the war lasted 9 years so it was eventually a 1v1. Level 8 fort spam really needs to be nerfed, makes end game wars unbearable

All in all a pretty comfy game lads, forming bukhara as horde gives a fun 50-100 years of horsing around before settling down for big wars against russia and ottoblobs,(they had 3000 development before the last war)

So I'm playing Kaiserreich as Germany, and I've been attempting to navally invade the Union of Britain for years now. I've been building up marines and transport flotillas, constructing an arsenal of state-of-the-art V1 and V2 Flying Bombs, and gathering a relatively large navy for general purpose protection and shore bombardment. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work. It starts out okay, but the invasion falls apart as they gather together more troops to defend with. It's gotten to the point where they're literally the only members of the syndicalist faction left, and they're at war with half the world, but I can't crack them. I've been heavily investing in nuclear and rocket technologies, so I should have nukes right on time (If not early). Should I just wait until then? Feel free to ask any questions needed.

Have you tried playing as norse? It's a lot of fun. That would be the viking age start date. But if you want to do the proper start date 1066, then playing as Norway or any scandinavian nation is really fun.
If not scandinavia, I like bavaria a lot.

Help me /gsg/ I can't figure out why none of the mods I've installed are working. The .mod files are in the mod folder, I ensured that is the proper directory and they are showing up in my launcher and in the in game mod manager as "active" but when I attempted to add a mod-trait it could not find it. What am I doing wrong?
