I'm playing my first game as France in EUIV, it's good so far, I just need four provinces more to have all the france region, alliances with Castille and Aragon and Austria is not doing very well. The problem is Great Britain, the Irish nations and Scotland are over, I havr this big red Islands above me and they are my worst enemy, they have alliances with Moscovy and the ottomans so they have almost 300k troops I have 90k right now but U have enough money and manpower to have 150k plus my allies of Castille and Aragon we could have almost 200k tropps I also have a strong navy and It'll soon outnumber british navy. So the thing is I need an strategy to defeat them at war, my goal would be make them break their alliance with Moscovy and the Ottomans and then go to war again when they are not so strong, they are a huge threat right now and they are growing really fast. I'm an unexperinced player so I would appreciate some help. Also the year is 1600 if that helps.

Asian women in CK2 really are the second worst. The others vary in cuteness, but they can all be decent, whereas the Turkic/Ugric and the black girls are fugly. For the later there's nothing that can be done, it's true to life, but for the former its unjustifiable. From what I remember, even the Europeans that got to see actual Turkic women (and not the 70% Arab 28% Anatolian 2% Turk that lives in Turkey now) all said they were stunningly hot.

I was looking at indonesian countries not long ago, mostly for a potential coop game.

Highlighted some ideas that were more interesting for different purposes.
For colonization I'd go with a country with Moluccan ideas.

Lan Na is kinda interesting with their +2 cavalry regiments for flanking, Khmer are good in military, naval and land.

Dai Viet is interesting if you like to make use out of attrition forts, especially in the tropical mountains.

Kutai/Majaphit are interesting for trade, but I'd probably go for Pegu or Moluccan over those for some bonus to military or colonization instead.

I just bought vanilla eu4 a week ago for 5 bucks. I am playing as Holland. The Portugese and Spanish are too strong to snag a colony from and I only have 160 range. How do I get colonies as Holland?

Even if you stole a colony you wouldnt be able to core it anyway and there fore would be unable to make new colonies so that would be pointless. Get increased colonial range by getting that part of the exploration and diplo tech theres also a diplo advisor that increases range. With all that you should be able to colonize greenland and jump to america from there. If with all that you cant your options are to either be a good boy and wait or take a province from ireland or part of iceland but I dont reccomend that.

I don't think so, are your claims on Hungarian land or all of Hungary (including Ottoman parts)? If the former you're probably correct, if you have a claim to all provinces with a hungarian core but no possession then it's an event/mission

The only way to annex Texas without the US intervening is to get super lucky or savescum.
Also the gamey way to do well as Mexico is to ally the US and then declare war on Spain for Cuba. Drag the US into the war and they'll send all their soldier pops to die in Spain giving you an easy win when you fight them. If you don't do that then you're pretty fucked.

Someone help me on the Burgundian inheritance event and how to get it to work for me Austria. As in all my other games I've never seen it happen and Burgundy has survived into 1710 as a world power with colonies

It's fairly easy once you understand it.

There are a couple of different event chains for it, but the most common one is triggered when they are at war. As emperor you only have 10% chance of inheritence, so you need to RM them as well to boost that, lest spain gets it. Now that you have RM and you are indeed emperor, they need to be in a war, preferably one they are losing. If they have land occupied and they have war exaustion it increases the event of being fired. A neat trick is to DOW one of burgundy's allies and keep burgundy in the war until the event fires. That's a neat trick I do as France anyway. I become emperor as france, I RM them, and I DOW Brittany. Not taking the war-goal, only occupy burgundy so that you won't get the call for peace shit. If you don't want to be gamey like this, you will have to rely on luck that burgundy is in a war long enough for the event to fire, before 1500.

Prevent shadow kingdom event is a must I believe. 1497 might be a bit late? I don't really know. Not really understanding your question. The reformation takes place like 20 or so years after the protestants start. And not much you can do to break the protestant spread just sit it out and hope its a weak one contained to Scandinavian and briatian and not a meme one that consumes everything including France and Italy. When the religious wars kick off use it as a chance to separate peace out the small nations demanding religious conversion in the process.

The advisor cost reduction is pretty hefty, so is the lowering of war exhaustion.

The liberte egalite fraternite event is pretty nice as well, but not quite as good anymore.
It was at its best before instutions and before corruption.

Go with economics and you'll have made a fine choice. Innovative is also good though.

Ops, included it by a mistake, shouldn't be in included in any of them.
In the custom nation editor I clicked in all the german cultures, but if a nations capitol is moved to a province that doesn't have the national culture, it changes the culture of that province.
So I first added holstein, and then when I moved over to slesvig it had shifted to westphalian.

Cathedrals are rarely worth it.

You have to look at how much you'll increase the income and the cost of the building, how they combo with eachother, the trade good and the number of build slots.

You may have built a temple in a 2-2-2 province, while you'd actually get more money if you had built a workshop and a manufactory in it instead.

Those are the least favored dlcs, in particular sunset invasion which is merely a alternate history thingy in which vikings go further and further south after founding vinland, then the explorers who went south are lost, if I remember correctly, then the aztec people take the naval technology and invade europe hundred or so years after that. It should be the last CK2 dlc you buy, only if you don't give a damn about money or if you really want something different after many hours of gameplay.
