Could you work on the events/decisions regarding the expulsion of eastern Germans? I don't know if its like this already, but there should be an option to completely cuck the Poles as the Soviets by taking OTL territory while still not giving them more than their western 1939 territory. The decision/event should also be completely disabled if Germany/East Germany owns land in the East for whatever reason (changeowner at the beginning of the game being the biggest thing).

I believe they all happen before East Germany gets released, so even if East Germany owned any of the easter provinces it wouldn't matter
The way I would do it would be to have an event (or decision) that fires at the beginning of the game for the Soviets where they get a choice to either go the historical route or decide not to expel the Germans
Deciding not to expel the Germans would then set a global flag, and you'd have to add a NOT = { has_global flag = { (flag's name) } } to the potential section of Czechoslovakia and Poland's expel Germans decisions

Playing Britain in HoI III. My goal is to contain Germany at all costs, my strategy to do so is as follows:
>Influence America, Belgium, Netherlands and Denmark (among others) as soon as the game starts
>Use espionage to boost Germany's threat
>Build up some extra IC
>Build up an army group consisting of three armies, each with 5 corps (for a total of 15 cores) consisting of mostly infantry
>Deploy it along a line from the Maginot Line to Amsterdam*
>Build up a separate Army of 3-5 corps
>Strategically deploy it on one of the Danish islands

The idea behind this strategy is to get Belgium, NL and Denmark into the Allies before Germany attacks, and deploy my troops in strategic positions (line from Maginot to Amsterdam, Danish island) and thereby limit the ability of the Germans to advance Westward. This keeps the Low Lands and especially France in the game, a major boon later on. The Denmark strategy is to ensure that Germany cannot cross into Scandinavia. Having the German army blocked, I also intend to lock the German navy into the Baltic Sea with my navy (and the aid of the Scandinavian navies). All of this would also mean Germany is unable to trade overseas, limiting their resources. If and when Germany attacks the USSR, it will be so weak the allies can exploit their tactical mistake (or hold out until America gets involved).

*I don't have a picture right now, but it's possible to deploy your troops through Belgium all the way to Amsterdam (or just east of it) in such a way that all of your troops are behind a river and the Germans are forced to cross it (incurring heavy penalties) to attack you. Plus another army corps on the Afsluitdijk (that landbridge in the North, it has no rivercrossing but it does have a fortress).

tl;dr: Rate my strategy for Europe.
(Also, should I bother with Africa and India? My European strategy requires a lot of IC and manpower to be spent in Europe).

So what I'm doing right now is total overkill? Pfew, I was actually afraid that I was doing too little and not emphasizing tanks enough (considering everything I'm doing here is infantry).

That leads into my next question: Africa and India, worth dedicating manpower to? If so, what troops for each respective theater? Considering Libya is almost entirely desert and Ethiopia hilly and mountainous, I expect mobilized infantry and mountaineers respectively get the job done? I might be able to do that by reorganizing all the troops already present in Africa at the start of the game, though I worry about how many men Italy might commit to the front. I might have to split up my navies between the Danish-Scandinavian area and the seas surrounding mainland Italy just to make sure they don't send over too many reinforcements.

As for India (and the orient in general) that's a lot harder: I don't have a lot of troops in the region at the start of the game, probably can't afford to build and send over too many more (not only in IC, but also in naval projection: with so much of my navy tied up in Europe, I can barely even escort troops sent to the Indies). Should I redirect some European troops to India, or consider India a lost cause? Personally I favor the latter because with control of the Atlantic secured, I feel like I can just trade with America to make up for my losses.

You can change the chance for colonial migration in poptypes.txt, but I wouldn't bump it up too far, as a once a pop crosses the threshold for colonial migration, you get a bunch at once.
