For some reason I absolutely do not remember any boss themes from BB.
DS3 had Abyss Watchers, Pontiff, Yhorm.
DS2 I think had a few generic tracks that played on more than one boss, like the Ruin Sentinels, but at least I actually remember hearing it.
And in DS1 pretty much every boss had a memorable tune.
But in BB it's all just some epic orchestral pieces mixed with giant beast screeching.

To be honest, I have absolutely no idea how anyone could fight Ludwig and not remember his fantastic music for both his stages, especially the start of the bombastic second track after his mid-fight cutscene plays.
I feel like the music of Bloodborne is very fitting too. Ebrietas' song also really stands out to me because of the lower toned trumpet that plays in early stages that really makes it sound like its straight out of a space opera

Chalice Knights drop regular gems, Poormans is just a rare effect, if it was the one guarding the lever in Lower Pthumeru layer 1, he once dropped me an Arcane gem, Watchers can drop it as well at higher % values, it's just really rare.

Ghost gems are also random, Tempering, Adept, Heavy, Striking etc... but the secondary effect is ALWAYS 25-27% ATK up at low HP. When combined with the primary effect (9.1% physical, higher for Adept, Striking and very rarely Poormans) it totals up to the highest damage increase possible. Three 12.5% +27% gems would increase a 100 AR weapon to 100 * 1.125 * 1.27 * 1.125 * 1.27 * 1.115 * 1.27 = 289.

A +10 Stake Driver with a 50/50 build has 335 damage, multiplying that by 2.89 equals 968 AR, and a charge attack deals 3.55x AR which is 2904. And a maxed Beasthood bar is x1.7 which is 4937.

Which would deal 4483 damage on anything with less than 600ish Blunt defense. This damage could maybe be further increased by using a Heavy Abyysal instead of one Poormans gem, but I don't have the scaling info on my phone. Plus it would further increase by hitting an enemies weakspot (eg Amy's head). Or a crippled body part, which I think is 1.5x, but I'm not sure.

It makes sense that a Mensis scholar would kill Rom, she's hiding the ritual and stopping the blood moon from descending. But why Eribritas? Do they just hate the Choir that much?

And it's not random placement either (it rarely is), because Damo is the only story-mode NPC who also appears in dungeons and it's to kill Eribritas.

Maybe the church split because of disagreements on what great ones guidance to follow. Mensis obviously worships Amydala's, who are refered to as "false gods" in the guide, which is also a term you can put in messages. There's probably a bunch of Lore Miyazaki thinks is obvious but it's just not shown in any concrete way.

Would a LHB be good while i go through a arcane build? I never used it and it has the same gem slots as the saw spear.

If you go into NG+ you'll be able to purchase all Chalice materials offline via Blood Echoes and Insight. You WILL have to do some farming from time to time, but if you keep farming chalices open for obtaining annoying materials you'll be fine. Not having PS+ will not bar you from making Root Chalices, as those are not an online-only thing. You'll only miss out on making freebies and sharing/joining Roots.

You can get free 2 days if you make a new profile with a new psn, just use a throw away email for that. That works up to 10 times I think. After that you have to buy ps+. I always finished my builds until it comes to farming chalice gems during the week, got my 2 days during weekend so I could farm gems, fight in the fightclub and fucked around with co-op and PvP in memesis. You can do that until your free 2 day trials are used up and think about buying JewS+ later.

The only things you can't buy in NG are Bastards of Loran and...Ritual Blood 5, I believe. Since you'll need plenty of those Bastards for CRF spelunking, you can imagine how annoying it would be to farm them instead of just buying them.

I'll be honest, I've never bothered checking it out. Iirc it's from Reddit. I'm guessing this is for early game setups. Late game when you get to the gem farming you'll want Lost for everything I mentioned, OoS is situational though.

From the top of Djura's tower you can clearly see Central, Cathedral Ward and the Great Bridge. It's definitely the Great Bridge because the Church of the Good Chalice is directly below it. But from this angle you can't see the Grand Cathedral. Grand Cathedral is by far the tallest building in Cathedral Ward so there's no way it's simply obscured by something else.

Did they just fuck up and forget to place the model or is there some time travel bullshit going on, i.e. "Old Yharnam" means literally Old, like it's in the past before the Grand Cathedral was built.

It's not particularly practical, but it's fun to use.

Snakes: The scourge affects different animals in different ways, as we have seen with humans, dogs, and even fish to an extent. This is a snake's evolution when introduced to the scourge.
Vermin: Similar to the way Vilebloods see Blood Dregs, League hunters find the Vermin when memorizing a specific rune (runes are essentially the scribblings of madmen). Vermin is the source of man's impurity, thus making it capable of being present in beasts, humans, and Great Ones.
Silverbeasts: Loran is an older land, and possibly had a different strain of scourge. It affected the silverbeasts in this manner.
Loran: Loran is connected through the Nightmare Frontier (Silverbeasts and Amygdala), possibly partially moved there when swept away into the nightmare. Some of it was undoubtedly absorbed into the nightmare, similar to the Lecture Building, after dabbling with the beasts, the scourge, and the Great Ones.
This is all speculation on my part, though.

Yes, 25 Str should be enough. Most of the blade is Physical while the moonbeams are pure Arc. 25/25/50 is a good build for it but if you wanna stay at a lower level you could stick to 12 Skill.

Normal or Lost. Normal you'll have to farm 2 gargoyle/Rom Radials and 1 Amy Triangle. Lost 1 Radial and 2 Amys for a Triangle and Waning. Both have very similar AR when every gem besides the Waning have +15 Phys secondaries so it doesn't matter. Normal for an easier time, Lost if you don't mind farming Amy. There's no real useful secondary on the Waning slot so any secondary on it should be fine, +15 Fire/Bolt on the HMS won't help it much, it's okay if you like the effect when it hits.

LHB L2s, Beast Cutter R2s, most if not all charge attacks. Most Strength weapons have the best Poise breaking, faster weapons usually stunlock smaller enemies better. Kirkhammer's R1s are okay but you gotta make sure you aren't hitting stuff with the shockwave instead of the hammer itself.

The area's cool, I enjoy the aesthetic and the whole "beast vs. hunter" thing they have going on, but there's just too much absurdly frustrating shit that happens. The chaingun hunter in the cave, the clusterfuck in the blood river, the convoluted design thanks to the tree roots or whatever, and the fact that just about EVERYTHING has poise/stun immunity.

It's manageable, yes. The hunters are incredibly easy to parry or just whack to death even though they have shittons of HP and two-shot you at any BL below 120, it's just an extremely frustrating area every time you go through it. Maybe I'm just still salty as fuck over the explosion near the boom hammer, which you had no conceivable way of knowing ahead of time would be there without using a guide. I can't think of any area in the other souls games that threw as much raw shit at you except for 5-2 in demon's souls.

I loved this, but it instantly fell apart when you get halfway through and the hunters didn't respond AT ALL to the bloodlickers in the river. You could argue that they don't want you farming easy souls, but chalice dungeons exist so it's a bit of a moot point.

I think you might need to hear it before activating the DLC, once you go to Hunters Nightnare for the first time and activate the tombstone it could become impossible to hear.

Basically if you spawn in the dream and notice doll isn't at her usual spot SPRINT up to DLC headstone. If you delay at all you won't hear it.

So, my friend and I have been debating if the Moon Presence is even a Great One. I see it as something else entirely while he sees it as one of the older Great Ones like Oedon. What do you guys think?

You're looking at Exe gloves wrong. Sure 3 BSE's out damage 1 Exe glove, but Exe is better for burst damage and stagger. The slow tracking can be useful in PvP for pressure and if you stagger someone it's a free hit. ACB is also about burst damage but needs high Arc to be useful. Tiny Toni is very situational, not good against single enemies but several lined up is where it shines, also needs high Arc. BSE is good for chip damage in PvP when your gunshots can't do any reliable damage. Whistle is eh, not so great in PvE but useful for aggressive players and ganks. There's also Accursed Brew, has a fairly good AoE and arcs which is good for headshots and free aiming.

EG is way stronger than Blacksky Eye and it can hit the head of a large boss such as Amygdala, Watchdog or Laurence for massive damage without risks. It also decimates poise, constantly opening the bosses for visceral attacks.

ACB is also extremely reliable in pve, but only against large enemies.

I can't really remember if BSEx3 strictly does more/same damage than gloves, but they hit pretty hard regardless.

Not a lot of hunter tools are useful in PvP, you have to be unpredictable with them. BSE is fast an inexpensive. Gloves are better in PvP because of the homing.

Tiny Toni is situational as hell. OHB is for style points only, though you can play really aggressive against shit like Abhorrent Beast if you know what you're doing. Augur is great but if you use it in PvP and they dodge it you WILL take a lot of damage.
