I'm trying to get homebrew on an 11.2 3ds through soundhax. Whenever I try to open soundhax he screen freezes then I get a message saying the 3ds needs to restart. Can anyone help?

So, I don't have any .tik files in the file9 folder after the Ticket Dump. Wat do?

Why's my shit printing out "Homebrew" on both screens when I load something now?

So on my old 3ds I had homebrew for a long time and got my hands on the leak of Pokemon Moon when that came out. Becauae I played online early like an idiot I got myself banned on that console.
Since this is my first time back in a while I found out about soundhax and finally got my New3ds xl homebrewed completely fresh all good.
So what I want to know is, can I move my Pokemon Moon save file to my New3ds and is there some kind of banning counter measure now or something and is it safe to play online and such or will you still get banned like in the wave?

How do I transfer saves from save backups to games I installed from freeshop/cia installation?

Before I got emunand (on A9LH these days) I bough Senran Kagura Burst off of E-shop but deleted it due to memory running out. I still backed up the save and have a .sav file in a 00040000000ed100 folder (corresponding to the game title), but save-data backup in my system settings can't recognize it.

I have the same problem as him, except to me initially Homebrew worked but then started freezing after i copied on the SD the files needed to install arm9launcher (I'm at that part of the guide)

I already tried replacing the music file and otherapp, didn't work, so I'm guessing the problem could be one of the new files interfering. Any idea what ot might be? I may remove it temporarily then start 2.1.0 and then press select to unmount the SDvand recopy in it the file again. Maybe it's the new payloads i copied in the luma folder?

Guys, I'm on a 11.2 o3DS and since i flashed the CTRNAND partition to 2.1.0 in order to later use arm9loaderhax i can't access Homebrew anymore, the console freezes when i try to start soubdhax

I even deleted everything on the SD card (after making a backup of course) to start from scratch, but Homebrew still won't launch. Could it be that the modifications i made to the cobsole made sone files obsolete?

In case i can't fix it, is there a way to nullify everything i did so far and start over? The guide did make me backup a 900mb worth file

ESHOP works like this:
You buy a game, nintendo gives you a golden ticket that your console installs. It stays when you reset, and gets transferred when you system transfer.
Every time you go to eshop, your 3ds loads a list of all of them, and you can go to settings, go to list of downloadable games, and download them. Your system sends nintendo the ticket, they're happy, you get your download.
(Most people just download when they buy it though).
Now, remember that ticket?
They're literally exactly the same on every single console. You can take a ticket from one DS, install it on another, and when you open eshop and send nintendo the download request, they look at the ticket, go "Fuck it, looks good" and give you the download.

Now, to do that you need to install the ticket on your console and that can be a pain.

So, what freeshop does is it just downloads literally every ticket ever (All the ones people have uploaded at least) and without even bothering to install the tickets, pretends to be eshop, sends nintendo the ticket, and gets the download.

It doesn't actually do that. Aside from the legit tickets from preinstalls they are all forged and instantly detectable, the reason the 3ds accepts them is because we nullify the sig check in memory, it cannot check signatures it's forced to assume they're all fine.

The shop doesn't actually give a shit, the ticket is needed to decrypt the data on the users end. A request for the seed is also made to be added to your local cache.
The ticket merely informs the eshop application you could in theory download the application because you have a ticket so hey you must be authorised.

The ticket contains a signature, a bit of data about to whom it's signed, the titlekey and a bit of other nonsense, consult 3dsbrew for a detailed report.
We can pull the content from homebrew software because the server does not use credentials, ask and ye shall receive, good luck decrypting that useless garbage into a game!

A person buys a game and gets given a ticket authorising the console, it's signed for that console more than any nnid which is why moving consoles is a fucking hassle, they resign all the tickets instead of just bonding them to the nnid in the first place.

Just look through the options in the FBI software, somewhere you have the option to scan the codes.
But downlading the cia files and putting them on the disk is much easier, since you dont have to deal with the handhels shitty wifi. Then you just install the .cia through FBI

It's based on region which is to say there is normally a different icon for each region supported or it's the same copy and pasted over and over.
To learn more look into making custom VC injects as it goes into great detail about modifying the banners and icons.
It's a bit of a fucking nuisance but prepatches have typically swapped out the icon for their own.

RPGs, platformers, puzzles and such. The games I played the most on my N3DS was Stella Glow, Fire Emblem, Rune Factory 4, Monster Hunter Ultimate 4, Etrian Odyssey 4 and Resident Evil: Revelations. None of the other ones really interested me that much.

I admit that the Virtual Console emulating is really fucking cool and I played a ton of old games while on the go such as Advance Wars which is my favorite series. However I can also do that on the Vita while also having a better screen, better battery life, better ergonomics. Sure the emulating isn't 100% perfect on the Vita like it is on the N3DS but I'll take it.

Also there's lots of nice games coming out in 2017 for the Vita. I'm particularly looking forward to Mary Skelter.
