Hello friends, I'm new and I'd like to ask a couple of questions before I attempt to brick my console:

-Once I'm on CFW, is there any way I can get banned/disabled? Is it safe to play something like Smash bros online or with friends?
-Is any piracy-related stuff at all linked to my NNID? (inb4 anon you still have to buy shit)
-What exactly are decrypt9, arm9loaderhax, Luma3DS? The guide just says "Install this, bruv", I'd like to know a bit more about those things, in normie language, if possible
-Speaking of the guide, is it 100% safe? (I have a game cartridge for the black screen I read about). I'm a poor as fuck wagecuck college student in debt, so I can't afford a new console atm
-What's the big deal with OTP.bin?
-How long does the whole process take?
-Is the forced update really happening or is it just memes?

-About a year ago when I first found out about 3ds hacking, I remember reading something about having to own a cartridge to have your own sort of game ID or some shit to make sure Nintendo servers can't detect a dupe and ban you. I may be remembering this wrong, but in case I'm not, is this still relevant?

Found a undubed japanese Tales of the Abyss to download, it is region free i know but can i play it online, what i cannot do?

I noticed I had two arm9.bin files on my SD card and both were downloaded yesterday so when I got the second one I thought that was weird. The second one was from SafeA9LHInstaller and it says it was last modified in june. The other arm9.bin file says it was last modified on november 13. Can someone check their SD card to see which one I get rid of? note: the november 13th arm9.bin was from the decrypt9 step

I was hacking my 11.2 following the guide, i was at the point where after copying all sorts of files on my SD card i should've started installing arm9loader. I'm supposed to be on 2.1.0 to proceed, but the previous step told me to reboot the console. I didn't assume i needed to restart 2.1.0 right after that. Now that I'm trying to access it through Homebrew the latter won't start from the Sound app anymore, the screen just freezes until i restart the console

What can i do now? Is there a way to restore Homebrew without fucking anything up or should i delete everything on the SD and start over?

I jailbroke my 3ds and I can't get anygames to load I tried one from the Freeshop, and one direct loaded .cia.

so I hacked my vwii and now I'm trying to load wii games through my sd card via wiiflow(using the mastermod). Problem is every time I start a game (mario kart wii) from wiiflow it shows the splash screen of wiiflow for a split second then boots me back to the main menu. I've installed all the cios on 49, 50 and 51 and I'm not sure what else to do. The drive is formatted FAT32 and I'm using wiibackup manager to put the game on the sd card. homebrew runs on the vwii section and I can get nintendont to run gamecube games but I can't get a wii game to launch. I'm really confused pls help anons

Is a 16gb SD card a good thing to use for this? If not I can always just copy and paste the content on my SD card onto a larger one if needed right?

the system files you need to copy from system memory to the SD are about 1.86 GB, you probably won't even have space until you delete the non cartridge games. After installing a9lh, when trying to access pokemon bank I get error code 006-1608. Nintendo's site says it's unable to find that error code. Any help? Tried to repair but got 007-6106 which just says unable to access eshop.

Hey anon, i just finished troubleshooting all day because my luma3ds would turn on, blink blue and then back off immediately.

I even took out the sd card and it would do the same thing, but the weird part was that I could boot into luma settings while holding select and then it would turn off again.

It was the R4 card that I've been using with slot-1 launcher the entire time. it turned on without the R4 card and when I popped it in again, the n3ds force shut down...

The R4 card I have requires me to dual boot to get into YSMenu by first going into its own system, then running YSMenu from there. I want to know if it's possible to just go into YSMenu using a forwarder. Probably not, but I'm double checking. The cia I made of it just puts the system into a bootloop. It loads the YSMenu loading bar and just does it over and over again.

Using the 3ds.guide I can successfully do the soundhax but every time I try to launch safehax I just get a blank screen, not bricking or anything but it doesn't progress after three clean attempts.

stitched together the split pkg files into 1 single image (like it should be) and got it to start installing

shame it wont be usable without a rif file (or modifications to it to get testkits to boot it)
