It's not actually, that's the point. The class is so bad, from the mechanic to the legendaries, that it forces that play style onto the player just to be tier 2 viable. Blood is bad on a fundamental level, unlike Shadow and Dragon, which are only currently disadvantaged by the match up meta. Only a big inject of good cards can fix the class, and the cards will most likely have to be overtuned garbage like Aria/Gaurda/Elana, otherwise Blood will be left behind, AGAIN.

Stats are worse but it generates shadow instead of eating them and Shadow didn't get any new generators this set. Shadow's 2pp line up is fantastic too, so it's pretty unlikely anyone will opt to play Charon over her through Rise.

Can someone explain to me why Elf Girl Liza is good? As far as I tell it only affects your team from a narrow amount of spells, and not actual "kill spells," and why is protecting your guys so important anyway, since they tend to generate value when they hit the board and not the turn after?

It protects fairies from barrage, has a 2/2 body which is rare with decent effect in Forest, and can be bounced to reuse.

The reason the protection itself is important is because Forest's aggro game generally involves a lot of tiny things flooding the field and going wide before you plop down a banner effect, or even in PtP, dodging certain DShift removals to sneak in one turn of damage or prepare Ancient Elf.

Liza is good because it protects your fairies and followers from Angelic Barrage, Dragon Warriors, Demon Storm/Revelations, Will of Forest/May,and basically all Witch spells besides Fiery Embrace. You protect your board from all common AoE and spells. It also guarantees a powered up turn 3 Ancient Elf if you're going first against every class besides Bishop because they can't get rid of her on turn 2.

You Shadow whiners are really getting out of hand with your pathetic self pity. Shadow is fucking completely fine, and has like 3 real decks over Blood. Blood never had more than 2 real decks, 3 if you wanna include the joke PtP one as a deck. Shadow has aggro, midrange, and control. If you include joke decks, Tyrant and Atomeme are also their own decks. Blood is the worst class in the game by every measure, whether its deck variety, performance since game launch, tournament viability, or play rate (which at one point dipped down to 3%).

Read the original post. We're talking life time here. Shadow was tier prior to DE, where Blood was exclusively tier 3 and had 5% play rate. It also had an lower play rate prior to that, there was a period of 3 weeks it went down to 3%. Blood has been shit for fucking ever, yet Dragon and Shadow mains won't stop whining for being tier 2 just for 1 expansion. Even if you include the few meme weeks when Blood was "tier 1", because no one played D.Shift or Elf, it's still the worst performing class in the game's history. Haven would have taken the title had they not got overbuffed this expansion.

I've played a lot of Haven and honestly, there's very little other people can do to deal with it. The craft is uninteractive as fuck, people joke about Rune but honestly, the back and forth against DShift involves way more on each player's end.

I don't think Haven is OP at all, but if there's one craft where I'd tell people not to bother learning it for counterplay, it's Haven. The deck lives and dies on its own draws and the opponent's draw, but the only significant moments in a Haven match up are dodging turn 4 evo and dodging Themis.
