Demonic strike, interesting, I was running a pretty good Storm Netdeck for a while but I'm winning more with Seraph.

My problem with Storm is that if you don't get the early aria you can get pretty screwed.

Whereas with Seraph, even if you don't get the Elana, beastcall dogma can keep you alive until you get the cards you need.

It's rare that you don't get either.

But you're right, 14 damage plays with some combo of garuda/moon/urd are amazing.

In this case it was Regal Falcon > Al-Mir'aj > Urd > Evolved Al-Mir'aj > Demon Strike. The deck only has a single Demon Strike, I run it in Aggro Shadow too. It's a bit hard to really make use of sometimes due to the cost but it's one of those things you just hang onto because you know you can kill with it.

It's not just wards, Face Dragon can't handle any disruption whatsoever. The deck's entire game plan is "hit face and hope the other person just lets you walk all over them." Bats are FAST AS FUCK and have a mixture of burn and creature damage, trying to clear Aggro Shadow's board fuels their win con (Phantom Howl is similar to PtP in this regard) on top of them having resilient dudes. Dragon falls apart if it gets impeded at all.

So, I'm an mtg player modern and just got into the game a few days ago and I'm really enjoying it so far. I've been playing mostly midsword and a lot of dshift rune, a little bit of blood aggro too.

Not really bothered by anything too much, but haven seems kinda lame. It's like an extremely uninteractive U/W control deck that just kind of durdles then wins? It is funny to see that archetype actually be good though.

But I really like a lot about the game, especially the fact that I only had to reroll for an hour or so to get enough vials to craft all the cards I needed. There's a lot of access to removal and draw with most classes, and the way the implemented enchantments is cute. Play vs draw seems pretty fair in most match ups, but being on the play and having a shit opening I feel is a pretty huge disadvantage compared to being on the draw with a shit hand.

Each class is pretty narrow as far as what goes in what slots, but there still seems to be enough variety in which way you want to take it.

Overall, the game feels like a better hearthstone with more mtg elements and archetypes. I still wish they could find a way to use instant speed spells in these kind of games or hand disruption even.

I noticed that too, you can't place what deck they're playing in the first couple turns, but in mtg you can almost tell exactly what deck they're playing by at least their second land drop, unless it's random jank of course.

But anyways, linear strategies are aiming for the same ideal start each game, but even so you're drawing 7 cards in your opening and only 1 card each turn, so you're seeing less of your deck each turn which leads to some inevitable variation. So, yeah I would say it's quite a bit different in that regard.
