Yes. Crystal Sage Rapier + Symbol of Avarice + Gold Serpent Ring+2 + Rusted Coin with ~10 Luck is above 400, which is wat I usually use for farming. If you respec to 99 Luck and use a Gold Coin you'll be at ~550, but Gold Coins are limited and wasting a respec just for that is a bit too much for me.

Fix your shit, turn that claymore back to normal path. Lightning spears suck against any enemy that isn't distracted by another player, they're locked behind a co-op covenant for a reason. Use a bleed weapon to melt Smough in seconds, then get all up in Ornstein's dick zone, only ever backing off if he jumps up. Two backward rolls should get you out of range of the shockwave.

Saw Spear and Saw Cleaver normal forms are similar
Ludwig's Holy Blade and Kirkhammer normal forms are identical.

Otherwise, virtually every weapon is completely unique and:

Or strafing around switching between running and walking at unpredictable interval, moving back and forth changing the space between you and them until they either launch an unpredictable running attack (especially with a katana or spear or halberd) or get the spacing right to either hit you if you aren't attacking/playing passively or punish a whiff by staying just outside your attack range?

Because the latter is a very viable tactic. That said most people who play the game at any SL are bad because souls games aren't made to be competitive fighter games, so most people play it casually. You could literally just say "Kill them every fucking time" without the first line, or just replace the first time with "Play Arena", and I'd probably believe you if you play DaS3 for enough hours.

It's the same problem with anything, anon. Most weapons have weaknesses, I like using the Great Machete on my low level invader but it's nearly impossible to hit some faggots if it's say, a lone host who's trying to 1v1 you away from mobs. So I pair it with a butcher's knife which fixes a lot of those "can't hit shit they just roll around it" problems.

Have that thing reason to either switch to or dual wield the scythe with. Like for example, offhand crossbows are great at countering greatswords, try an offhand arbalest with explosive bolts and just pew pew the fuckers, you can even switch between 1H and 2H your weapon very quickly if you want. Or get a spear or something. Just don't use a single weapon.

Nah he just sat there frustrated until he finally killed himself. I'm the one preventing him and his buddies from having fun, which is fun for me, not the other way around. While I'm there he doesn't get to gank anyone, he refuses to proceed through the level, and he can't use the bonfire. He's stuck and his friends probably got pissed after awhile of being bored. I'm surprised he lasted so long in all honesty.

The fun thing I noticed too is that if it's not a friend gank with passwords and people knowing each other and shit, people will just fucking leave.
