Arisen Must Die mode:

Solo playthrough, no pawns allowed
Hard mode
Found equipment only
Total defense rating must remain under 400 (including augments)
No picking up gold or RC drops
Base vocations only (no advanced or hybrids)
No dragonforging, if an item becomes inadvertently DF'd it must be discarded (not stored or sold) immediately
Can only kill things necessary to advance the story, must run from/sneak around all other mobs unless completely impossible to do so
No curatives except for Greenwarish (excluding Potent)
Must remain at Light weight or under
If you die or otherwise fail at any point during the Grigori fight the run is forfeit (failed arisen who lose to Grigori become lesser drakes)
Must clear all rooms of post-dragon Everfall at least once
Run is also forfeit if you die to Seneschal
Total deaths may not exceed 50, run becomes forfeit at 51 deaths

So neither have them have any abilities in other vocations.

What stats should I set me and my pain pawn to at level 1 so that Capcom doesn't consider my pawn data corrupt?

Anon from yesterday who asked about online features on pirated copies. Just repurchased DD. First copy id bought on PS3 about 18 months ago and played it for about an hour before getting a bit frustrated at how janky, stuttery and unresponsive it was.
Which is a shame since I've really wanted to enjoy this game.

All things considered though, it's an oldish game. It's never going to look 10/10 so I'm not too worried. Playing on a large TV at couch distance is pretty comfy.

Hopefully. Quite a big gap of performance between those two GPU's. It'll be the 4k that kills it if the fps tanks. 4x more pixels to push is hard work.

I would just consider size being a minor way of changing your difficulty. All of the small character benefits are trash compared to big. The difference shouldn't be enough to influence you though so just worry about aesthetics. Unless you're really obsessed with being able to carry a ton, in which case you'll be playing as a giant fat blob.

It's worth doing each chamber once just because there are a lot of good fights in there, and the combat is the main reason most people play this game. There are 2 shopkeepers in there who sell the best weapons you can get before going to bbi, but those aren't a big deal if you're still playing the class you got the dragon weapon for. You don't have to worry about losing access to the ur-dragon since a portal to it is placed on the beach of cassardis in newgame+.

Honestly this game has one of my favourite soundtracks out of any game I own. Even the small things, I still love the little ~15 second bits that play when you got outside during day or night, and the theme's for when you start beating a monster, even after hearing them so many times I don't tire of them.

What would you guys normally run on a warrior pawn? I'm thinking corona/whirlwind/exodus with util/mitigator/scather, but in the end I keep changing him back to fighter because they're just so much more useful. Direwolf veil is too cool to pass up though.

bolide is a real amazing spell. hits hard and homes in on the opponent or at least half of them do. a must have. fulmination is another must have spell, it absolutely shreds life off elder ogres, garms, and other tough monsters.

Yeah, sometimes Nero pops Fulmination when there's literally nothing to reach or other inopportune moments... but man I'm really glad for it when I need it.

I've got other things that I can juggle though, could probably swap out Comestion for it and maybe replace Gicel with a mid-tier spell. Or just get over Lassitude, but man dat torpor when it hits.

Don't know what to model my Arisen and Pawn after for my next playthrough. Any ideas? Both will be female.

I don't think bolide and fulmination are good enough unless upgraded. Gicel is still quite good without being upgraded so I always keep it regular on my pawn so it casts faster, even if I'm playing sorcerer.

Yep, I have a bad habit of upgrading stuff (might go back and downgrade some stuff, now that I have dll hooks) but I agree a regular Glicel is solid.

I'll see how it goes with dropping Comestion, I tend to like it as a shorter-ish cast spell that still packs a wallop. Maybe regular Glicel can take its place, but I know for sure Brontide won't cut it... maybe Frigor can do the trick if Glicel is still too slow.

Comestion and gicel are the 2 I never upgrade on my pawns. I've tried going without upgrading seism too, but I have a hard time deciding if it's good enough like that since it's so rarely cast. I also don't teach them magick agent because they love to waste time charging it up and releasing but almost never hit anything with it. That time would be better spent on a focused bolt or a real spell or even a regular attack.

Agreed on Agent for sure, High Comestion usually whips out quick enough for my tastes anyhow, and with Seism I find even the base skill is so long you may as well go for the gusto and get the High version.

Shame I can't find a setting in dll hooks for the weapon talents like Focused Agent, it's not usually a problem but I'd rather be rid of it.
