It was offline anyway. Fire off a Great Sacrifice, then a normal bolt (RT/R2) as soon as one's able, then apply Liquid Vim to stay in slow motion. Makes awesome shots with Hunter and Ninefold Bolt.

If you fire off another GS after the normal bolt, you can keep the black and white effect until you change areas.

This is my first playthrough so I can see some of the mistakes I made at the beginning, but still, he has upgraded skills and tolerably enchanted equipment. I think he is medicant/acquisitor at the moment, of which the latter was a big mistake. I got it just because I thought it would apply out of battle, but of course not.

The biggest issue is that my main pawn is a small homosexual-looking elf with makeup, mustache and twin tails. I cannot believe nobody would want such in their group.

Depends. You won't get any rents until another player releases your pawn, so if your pawn is still being rented then you won't see squat. Once released it still takes a while, though unless there's some kind of server problem the rents will be delivered within the day.

As for getting rents, check out the guides in the OP and make sure your pawn at least has the right inclinations (insofar you can make that happen). Then you'll want to get your pawn's vital stats (Vocation, Level, Inclinations, Skills, Name, SteamID) and post them here while asking if anyone could rent your pawn. A neato picture of your pawn always helps.

It may take a bit since the game isn't as active as it used to be, but if you promote your pawn maybe once or twice a day it'll eventually happen. Mind that some people may need to friend request you, since that's by and far the most reliable way to track down a specific pawn.

Every five days I grab 3 blast arrows, one for everyone of these fuckers. They never get away.

It might also be a difference between Launchboard and Catapult Blade, since Launchboard is one specific person whereas Catapult Blade can launch the whole party.

Fighter's easy. Teach them Dragon's Maw, remove the shield skills and then have the other two skills be either blink strike and/or one of the two upward slashes. The other inclination should be either Mitigator or Scather. Equipment-wise, just grab the best sword for your level and keep her upgraded, armor doesn't matter a great deal, but do try and look good.

Warrior is largely the same, except Eclipse/Corona Slash are your friends now. Sir Berne's Escort Quest gives you one of the best swords in the game, so get it early and wreck shop with that.

I don't think it's really possible to make a good warrior pawn since they have bad damage, no range, and their only defense is 1 weak skill with some invincibility frames. The best you can really do is make sure they have no skills with charge time since the AI is horrible at using them, and put stagger increasing equipment on them and hope they knock things around.

Fighters have range issues too, but good damage output and great defensive abilities in the form of blocking and invinc frames on their strongest attack. I've heard people say that removing all of their shield skills makes them perfect block more but I can't confirm if it's actually true or just in people's heads. I personally only put the taunt on their shield skills since I want them using their stamina on more damaging sword skills, and the one shield skill that does good damage makes them walk slowly turtling too much.

What's a good way to earn gold during first playthrough? I've been knighted now, I'm lvl 47 or so and I've managed to kill a drake, too. Chimeras, Cyclopses, Ogres etc are all pretty easy aswell, but I can't really find a real nice, fast source of money, especially when I'm not sure what I might still need for upgrades.

I really want to start a new game to try out the magic classes because my first run was pure Fighter -> Assassin so I had no magic attack at all. I got a new laptop, so it will be a fresh install on this and so obviously a fresh save, but will my pawn be carried over from my other computer, or will making a new pawn on this one overwrite my original one, or will I have a new pawn on this one AND keep my old pawn on my other computer? Really? Because I've been hearing that line for three and a half fucking years. Pawn Training is near impossible to test for conclusively, nobody knows what to datamine for, and if you really wanted to rest this argument you could do the work itself instead of demanding someone else do it.

They're having fun with my pawn, didn't even have to do anything.

Haven't found an ogre and a drake yet, but we had fun with some Cyclopses, Chimeras, a Griffon and a Golem. We even did the fun ride of dragging the griffin down with people and then burning his wings.

They're bóth pretty good, I might keep them for tomorrow and then send them back.

Also Tsubasa seems to have picked up mining as a hobby from my pawn. I went through the quarry with them and both Tsubasa and Nerodamus looted pickaxes. Nero never touched a rock but Tsubasa started mining next to my own pawn when she did pretty avidly.

I'm loving this, I can finally explore and fight how much I want and when I want without worrying about getting overleveled, but there is a problem explained in the bugs section of the page

I run with Mighty Bend, Tenfold and the Torpor one. Torpor works on surprisingly many things and big guys get a lot more climbable when they're slow. Mighty Bend is just real solid for just headshotting all those goddamn hobgoblins before your pawns decide its full on combat time and is also good at making cyclopses drop clubs or break armors. Tenfold will hitstun/stagger wolves and is good enough to spam at stuff like golem medals. Also firing Tenfold Blast Arrows means goodbye wings for most fliers.

I think the real problem begins when the plots start to be much different, so around lv 50.
I'm using the Steep version, around lv 50 I'll switch to the Slight version, I guess.
Hope it won't reach the point that it becomes a nuisance for the people who hire my pawn, I'm really enjoying this sharing system.

Well, I'm playing with the Plateau setting so I'll have to see if the levelling gets real wild past 50.

Making sure to save & upload right after level up should resolve it though, not only does the mod creator say so but from the DLL Hooks interface I can see that each level starts off at zero xp rather than keeping a total of all xp earned... it should only be later in a level when you've got 100K+ xp or something at L30 that the levelling on hire happens.

I know why it bothers me so much: Because the equipment of the previous vocation isn't saved either. If you change back to it later you still get stripped, instead of it retaining the previous set you've worn for that vocation if its gonna do all that other shit to seperate them.

Gear helps for sure. I'm chipping away at BBI 1.0 now with an Iraklis as a Warrior, had a harder time before I got nice gear but it is doable.

Hell, you can clear the first third of BBI 1.0 at any level by running for chests and cheesing with throwblasts.

They're really xenophobic when it comes to online games. It was much worse in Frontier, players would take part in the witch hunt and help get non-JPs banned by randomly sending tells to people and report them if they don't respond. They'd also try to get into english groups just to rat the whole lot out.

Haven't seen anything as sneaky in DDO but maybe things have changed since mine and whole lot of others got purged.

The worst part is there is no other way you're ever going to play this since there is no way we're getting it simply due to the fact it means they'd have to host servers for other regions which costs $$$. You can pretty much safely ignore whatever they say regarding DDO in the west because they said the exact same bullshit about Frontier. It's just not happening.

So after about 200 hours I have to ask, in what fucking situations is heavy attack actually designed to be used? Maybe it's because I haven't had a shot at the really melee heavy/only vocations yet, but I've literally never found myself finding a use for heavy attacking.
