ITT: Discuss fun gimmicks/mechanics for future expansions/DLC!
Witch Elves in the Dark Elf army start off as old wrinkled crones at zero veterancy. But as they rank up they change voice lines, animations and gain more youthful, gorgeous and ornate models as they rank up. They can gain veterancy from special religous buildings and recruitment centers or rank up at an increased rate to other units in battle gaining blood for khaine from their kills. Additionally as a drawback they lose veterency/experience when they have not been in a battle for too long, this could be negated though by certain technologies/buildings such as temples or owning Har Ganeth. Another way to stop this could be Morathi's rejuvenating Blood Alter which she gains as a quest item and completely stops this experience loss to all witch elves in her army and perhaps giving them more experience per turn.

The amber resource is basically how a resources hsould have been handled in the game, with certain buildings relying upon a quantity of stone/iron/gromril etc. Warpstone would be an interesting resource for Skaven and they should have a breeder pit building which unlocks slaves and later Stormvermin since they need to be given first breeding rights.

I would hope you can't go into a negative with warpstone. You can collect a small amount when taking locations like other skaven lairs and gain some overtime through warpstone mines. Certain units like rat ogres require multiple warpstone and gold to create and you do not get the warpstone back when you lose the unit. But you can't go into negatives with warpstone and you can slowly collect it over time. Instead of having to capture and hold settlements to keep a constant supply of it.

So I'm playing FoTS and am playing with an emphasis on the navy and I guess I got what I wanted. I control all of Shikoku and I'm not trying to expand too much. But nearly every clan on the mainland has declared war with me so every battle I'm engaged in naval combat and winning easily (for now) because radious is a joke.

And where do I go from here? Just build tall and build a strong as fuck navy with some landing forces and tons of arty (I figure from a roleplaying standpoint having top of the line cannons make sense if I focus on my navy because my clan would emphasize great cannons) and vassalize?

What are some tips especially for dealing with the randomness of boats blowing up.

I learned that even if my general is in an ironclad not to let him near ships unless I have incredible numbers because the AI will focus him and he will blow up randomly.
