Wish you could just choose any generic lord to be your LL. Playing minor factions is pretty fun, having your pleb regular troops against the big LLs with starting giants, artillery and shit. I really just want to play a generic arch lector for a LL and spread the good word. A glade lord LL would be cool too.

Guys, I was in Games Workshop today for the first time and was talking about the armies with a guy who works there. Anyone noticed NPCs can set tax rates other than on/off? I inspected the other main factions (Empire, Dwarves, Greenskins) and even some minors that are playable normally (Crooked etc) and they have either 100% or 0% like the player.

Yet the minor factions and shit have variable settings like Pic related. You think CA is going to finally put in a tax slider or something in brettonian update since they're known to be poor and taxes might affect PO more?

Playing Orion, Durthu declared war on Angrund early game, so I flaked out of the alliance to avoid a Welf on Welf war in Loren. HOLY SHIT like -120 to relations that only goes down 1 per turn. They later confederated with Dwarfs WHO STILL REMEMBERED and had the broken alliance penalty. Grudges not even once.

We never lost a game when we teamed up. They would either focus on the swarm of approaching Orcs, allowing the Eldar free reign to tear them apart, or focus on the Eldar, allowing the Orcs to overwhelm them.

Well, there was the battle of Breitenfeld and he's credited with a bunch of stuff like being a revolutionary commander/military innovator and moving Sweden to the forefront of European power politics. Some of the accomplishments of men around him like Torstensson and Oxenstierna probably reflect well on him as the head of state too.

Though I guess his actual military victories aren't as impressive as some other generals and perhaps some of the kings that followed him (Karl X and XII).

The following is obviously not a good method of research but as an example if you look at his wikipedia article you can see that the text under the heading "military innovator" is much greater than the one under "military commander".

You know how you usually just click on a unit, attack an enemy unit, and let it go from there? Micro means to do that, but then keep moving the unit. A good example would be cycle charging with Calvary.

Wood Elves require that, but except you have to maneuver your entire army on that level, rather than just focusing on managing one unit. Though if you have tree units it helps ease it a bit.

Quarrelers are multifunction, they also function as infantry.

Wood Elves need buffs, but those buffs should affect waste of space elite units like Wildwood Rangers, Deepwood Scouts and Waywatchers (a little bit).

In current campaign led by a melee lord I do this. My Glade Guard are rocking a solid 50+ attack and defense skill so I just have them shoot the whole time while we move into combat.

They win in melee not at ranged. I was trying to make it clear but I guess I didn't. If you CTRL right click the quarrelers with a unit of hawk riders you will beat them. If you just right click you will lose. A great eagle will always lose unless you cycle charge and then it will just barely win.

Tried all types of Glade Guard against Quarrelers and Rangers with both shootout and advance and shoot styles, but I couldn't get them to perform well. This is the best I got, Starshaft vs GW Quarrelers.

Unsurprising, though, as it's a unit not meant for shootouts fighting the shootout king.

Waywatchers do beat quarrelers, but it was a damn close fight.

Also, the waywatchers actually ran out of ammo around 25% quarreler hp left, and had to charge into melee to finish the job. I think this is one of the biggest problems with waywatchers, they have no goddamn arrows.
